Well, in a way, almost every Babymetal song could be considered a one off song. That is part of the beauty of Babymetal. Every song they drop is a surprise. You never know what you are going to get. You've heard their Indian influenced song. Now it's power metal/speed metal. Next, you may hear a trap metal rap type song or maybe a soft ballad. Or maybe folk metal or Latin influenced metal. Or just about everything in between. Babymetal is not for anyone who likes their favorite band to fit in a box. Not everyone will like everything they do but you can be guaranteed its not going to be a weak attempt.

Good one, thanks! This footage is from the concert "New Year Fox Festival", held on January 10th, 2015 at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) with a sold out crowd of 20.000+ people. Yes, it was the final encore of the show. Just imagine 90+ minutes of concert entirely performed with this level of energy. It's just epic. For this video, they decided to keep the actual live audio, just cutting short the majority of the "We are?? BABYMETAL" extensive outro. About the song itself, Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce collaborated with BABYMETAL, doing the guitar arrangements and also playing on the studio recording. The song premiered live at O2 Academy Brixton in London in November 2014. It's still their usual show closer. And yes, this is more appropriate for a first time watching. SU-METAL still remembers this performance and specially the part they walked across the bridge with the crowd singing along as one of her favorite moments on stage. She also made this song her personal anthem. You can tell she was on fire, specially during the second half of the song, by her expressions. Not to mention the moment she verbalized it by shouting: "Kakatte koi yaa!" ("Bring it on!"). Yes, BABYMETAL are the three ladies: - Suzuka Nakamoto as SU-METAL (lead singer). - Moa Kikuchi as MOAMETAL (backing vocals and dance). - Momoko Okazaki as MOMOMETAL (backing vocals and dance). Official member since April 2023 after being one of their three backup dancers (Avengers) since 2019. Former member: - Yui Mizuno as YUIMETAL (backing vocals and dance). She left officially in 2018 after not performing since October 2017 due to health issues. With Suzuka and Moa she was one of the three OG members since their origins in 2010. She is in this video. They are backed by a band called Kami Band, formed by session musicians, the best of the best. They only play on live shows and this is one of the reasons why they are way better live and sometimes considered a live act. "Kami" means "god" or "spirit" and they represent the "spirit" of each instrument. Since they were introduced, they wore traditional white burial robes and face paint. In 2018 they started to wear darker robes. Since 2019 they wear masks. That same year, a second set of the Kami Band, formed by American musicians, was introduced. The Japanese set of musicians last performance was in January 2023. 🤘🦊

Great reaction. This may be more what you expected when you first heard BABYMETAL, but don't think every song will be like this. Every song they do is different, they have songs in virtually every metal genre and they will mix and blend many more styles with the metal. Expect the unexpected. This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, i think it was, 21 mosh pits). This was at the end of a 90 minute concert and they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself. 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from the British power/speed metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. This was the Kami Band on the instrumentals. The Kami Band (East, Japanese musicians and West, American musicians) are BABYMETAL's support for all live shows.

Nice! Babymetal are marketed as just the 3 girls. The Kami Band supports Babymetal for all their live. They are a very stable line up of top session musicians. With that said “Babymetal” as a whole is a massive team effort. Aside from the girls and the band, it also includes composers, song writers, production, etc. that make this amazing experience happen seamlessly. This song has been Babymetal’s staple show closer for a decade now, with this performance in Jan 2015. I just had the pleasure of experiencing this live a month ago in DC. This song is about having the courage to come together to pave your own path, and walk the challenging “Road of Resistance” towards your goals and dreams. 🤘🦊

@@autohmae Long time!!..LoL!! 2013 I herd Megitsune and thought, wow, that's different...and it was off to the races after that!! Its been my Ringtone ever since then as well!! **edit** I think the actual time frame was right around August or September 2013, a friend had a couple Babymetal songs on his phone..I know they had already had their IDZ concerts..that's what I remember seeing on KZbin at the time. Waited in line for 4hrs and then 2 inside the venue...standing the whole time..I so wanted to be in the pit for RoR at the end but my knees and back were DONE by then...But still had the time of my life!! ⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏴 🏴 🏴 "Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) - This performance was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) on January 10th, 2015, with a sold out crowd of over 20,000. The supporting Kami Band guitarists that night were Takayoshi Ohmura and Leda Cygnus. The bassist was BOH, and the drummer was Hideki Aoyama. BABYMETAL's lead singer, Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto, or just Su) first appeared at SSA in 2008 as the youngest member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old. She's been back many times since, headlining with BABYMETAL. You can see how good she is at controlling a crowd, even here, when she had just turned 17. She just celebrated her 27th birthday yesterday.

BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. A word regarding lyrics: BABYMETAL very rarely sing in English nor do any of their official videos have English captioning or subtitles. I suggest that you look up the lyrics prior to reacting to any video if that is something important to you. 🙂 For more great BABYMETAL video versions, see the KZbin playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty” ( kzbin.info/aero/PLdhz2aj0pt4zPl0BZLevPUR9uHKQA27uj ). Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!! We are . . . BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘 See you!!!

BabyMetal is the 3 girls and the band is The Kami Band.. Kami means divine... like Kami kazi.... this is why the Song Rondo of Nightmares with the Mischief of the Metal gods intro refers to the metal gods, kami, Kami also mean gods. Referring to the instrumental by the Kami band.
@tomooo26374 күн бұрын
Kami is best translated as "spirit", it is much closer to the meaning of Kami as westerners associate god with a single all powerful entity while Kami represents the spirit or power of anything. Mostly Kami represents the spirit of ancestors, but is not limited to humans

Babymetal is simply the front trio, comprising extraordinarily-talented lead singer Su-metal, flanked by 'scream & dance' sidekicks Moametal & Momometal (the latter succeeded Yuimetal) who are apt main vocalists but otherwise content to take on the roles of 'hype man' (akin to what Flavor Flav or Keith Flint did for Public Enemy & The Prodigy) with BM. The Kami Band is BM's road band, comprising freelancers who take on other projects when not touring with the girls. They don't play on the studio recordings. Over their long history, about 20 Japanese musicians have backed BM live at one time or another, before they narrowed down to a beloved core group of 7 'East' Kamis (four of them getting the call-up for every gig) after mid-2014. From 2019, a new set of 6 younger American musicians took over as the 'West Kamis' & have spawned their own fanbase. But Team Babymetal is also larger. There's Kobametal (BM's svengali who was inspired by the Myspace Metal band scene & wanted to create his own blueprint); his team of bespoke songwriters-producers-arrangers-programmers who worked on the studio recordings; their longtime sound engineer/manipulator (Hidefumi Usami) & choreographer (Mikikometal) who became well-known after working with BM; the Babybones, Sisterbones, Musclemetals, Chosen 7, & Avengers dancers who have variously filled out the live choreography; TARKS the costume designer; the graphic artists who conceptualized the T-shirts, posters, etc.; the hired video directors, editors & film crew who did the MVs & recap movies; the hired set designers who build BM's awesome concert stages in Japan; the tour managers, personal handlers, roadies on the road, et al. Likewise, the crowd participation is also crucial to the Team Babymetal experience, prompting Su to always acknowledge them by hollering 'We are..." at the end of every show. What's iconic about this Legend 2015/Saitama Super Arena show is that it was BM's homecoming after spending the previous half-year stunning foreigners at Sonisphere UK, HeavyMTL & the Lady Gaga tour. The improved showmanship & confidence on show was staggering, given the girls were still in their mid-teens. Check out their 7-song MetRock 2015 set (which took place 4 months after Saitama) on Dailymotion next. The classic BM lineup (original trio, band, crowd) arguably peaked at the Tokyo Dome 2016 shows (sold-out 55,000 twice). RoR itself was also their classy rebuttal to the gatekeepers & journalists who dismissed BM as a gimmick & novelty act. DragonForce, who played the guitar parts on the studio version, would take BM under their wing by famously sneaking them into Download 2015 (after the organizer feuded with fans for months about not inviting BM) & serving as their backing band at Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2015. Even crazier, RoR wasn't even officially released yet when the Saitama gig took place. BM had debuted it live as the finale (then-provisionally titled The One) at their tour closer in London some 2 months prior. They then released it as a limited-edition bonus download a few days before Legend 2015. Somehow, the 20,000 crowd worked out how to participate live from watching the London fancams & sharing the full song audio. The Saitama performance was so good that it became the official RoR video & uploaded to KZbin in mid-2015. It left many jaded metalheads teary-eyed in their reaction videos during the second half of last decade.

Babymetal are just the three-here-girls. Su was 17 and Yui and Moa were 15. Three petite teenage girls with a huge crowd in the palms of their hands. Still blows my mind how in control and professional BM are at this age. Hideki the drummer puts out enough energy in this one to power Tokyo. The guitar arangements and the playing of the guitars on the original studio release were by Herman LI and Sam Totman of Dragonforce. So you called it on the powermetal.

The meaning of most of their songs is never officially said. It is generally thought this song is about the babymetal journey in metal. To forge their own direction and be strong and resist their dissenters in the metal community. Su-metal was known to have shouted some comments during this concert supporting this view. This is all part of the we are.. babymetal at the end of shows still done today where much of the world already knows who they are The fans, the one, are completely loyal and they have just completed the 93 concert world tour, and will do the European arena tour next year. The O2 in london essentially sold out the 20000 tickets in 30 minutes.

Only the girls are Babymezal, the Band is the old Kami Band. Later they introduced the Kami Band West to support zhem in their US and European concerts and since April of 2023, they support them everywhere. This was Yokohama, a venue originally build for Martial Arts. This is in fact their typical closer today

BABYMETAL are the 3 young ladies while the band backing them are the Kami Band made up of world class musicians from Japan and were their Official Tour Band since 2013. Most have since retired (and one of the lead guitarists Mikio Fujioka died tragically in 2018 after falling accidentally from an observation tower while star gazing) This performance is from 2015. Today their Kami Band is made up of world class musicians from the U.S. and like the Kami Band before them are totally devoted to the young ladies admiring them for their talent, work ethic, discipline and high character.

I would recommend always live concerts to view. Try monochrome at the PIA for a metal ballad on the Hiroshima nuclear bomb, BMC for heavy metal rap, legend-mm concert. Metalism for eastern , middle east, flavour. Finally, my favourite song is the one i am listening too now.
