Absolutely a fact. One time, when Saiki was asked about Miku's "magic time", which is really geared towards giving her partners in crime a five minute break, Sai-chan replied she doesn't mess with it because Miku was a witch who was casting a spell. Something like a magic charm to ensure a good show for the band and the audience. Band-Maid doesn't just play music. They engage the audience at the conversional level and feed off the crowd's energy. The more the audience responds the better they perform. "Your smile makes me happy!" Indeed, it does.

Time and Rock In Me are "different" BAND-MAID but the musicality behind them is of the same quality as all their other material. As simple as the song is, Akane is doing some crazy stuff (as usual) in Rock In Me and I really appreciate how "early" Time was for Miku to be starting all by herself (there are videos around of her practising Time).

At a live concert, you might think you are going to watch Kanami, MISA Miku, or Akane....but you will be watching Saiki. There is something mesmerizing about her performance that draws your attention.

This is truth. I spent all of the 2019 US Tour on the rail at all their shows and was in front of MISA x2, Miku 1x, and Kanami 1x yet I would always end up watching Saiki just as much.... :)

Awesome! There’s some better quality fan stuff out there. I watch fan cams of some groups I like because if I already know the song then hearing a poor audio isn’t to bad for me and get to see different stage interactions and see how they play the song if the person recording is focusing on one member. And of course it’s fun to see how they change a song or performance up during different shows.

The fan cam I enjoy most (when I can find it) is "Alone" at London Comic-con 2016. Not the best quality. Mostly see the backside of the band. Misa's on the far side. But get some great side footage of Akane owning the drums and having to count the band during the song's breaks because they didn't have click tracks back then.

There are quite a lot of fan cams videos that are very worthwhile, I think you would have a very good time. Perhaps among the best those of Ron Ayala and Vladimir Chupin, kudos!, but there are many. Although the sound is not the best, you can tell at a glance that the band is excellent in the short distance, and has an absolutely unbeatable charisma and dynamics on stage. That way of having fun on small stages, always giving their best one hundred percent, is something that I thought was missing in rock bands nowadays. Rule, Founder Miku!!

IIf you want a live video which has professionaly recorded audio, Time was played on the World Domination Live Cube Shibuya Live Concert and you can find Rock in Me in the Zepp tokyo Live Concert. Both have discs but I guess some madiacs can hook you up.

Just a reminder that the whole Zepp concert is available online for Prime fan club members, along with Studio Coast and an abridged (but ferocious) version of Akusaka Blitz. The DVDs now go for hundreds of dollars on eBay, so $10/a month is a good deal and one can always binge everything and just not renew.

Rock in Me is SUCH a fun live song. I think it is included in the World Domination limited edition set but she does it half with a backing track and is just sitting on the edge of the stage singing to the front row. Such a stage presence! We gotta get you to a live show Ryan. It's an out of body experience. Look up the Echoplex shows fan cams. Some good stuff there.

Ryan! Listening o that again, I am tempted to make a prediction: Singing "cute" was basically Miku's forte, but it has become a kind of interlude in their rock concert concept. I cannot tell why, but I have a feeling that they will come up with something different to build up on a completely different break to give Saiki a well-earned rest! It could easily turn up into a three-tier show with the whole band playing and singing, purely instrumental songs and Miku-based songs. We could even end up with more sophisticated duo vocals inserted into impossibly intricate musical compositions! Quite a hell of work to die for in our case! Every maidiac has that one song that may not be in the usual reactor merry go round of songs, for some it's "Freezer" for others it's "Screaming" but for me it's "Time". Such a beautiful reminder that Miku sings "Time never waits for me, time never waits for you". Live every day to the fullest and with no regrets nor hesitation. There's another live version from another concert where after the song Miku speaks to the crowd and basically thanks them for making their dreams come true of playing music all around the world. Miku is so good on stage in moments like this, giving Saiki a chance to rest for a bit.

Time is a beautiful song, that main riff is so awesome, I love it. Rock In Me is a fun song. The version from the Zepp Tokyo show of Rock In Me is awesome. Sadly its unlikely we'll hear these again that often with the release of Sayonakidori, which I think is the BEST Miku solo song. Time just has this wonderful melancholyness to it whereas Rock In Me is 110% fun and happy. Great contrasts of style to them as well. Definitely check out the studio version of Time and if you can find a better live version mores the better. I thought the dude was wearing the Seinfeld Pirate Shirt! LOL.

Damn, most bands have only 1 front person. Band-Maid have two front women who sings, and 5 front women overall. Miku like to be the lead singer that is for sure, she is just perfect :-) Now I have a crush on Miku, and tomorrow I will have a crush on Saiki, the next day MISA, then Kanami, then Akane, then the whole Band-Maid. And I didn't even recieve the omajinai time magic spell directly, guess the magic spell works just as well over the Internet from YT :-)

If Miku had stayed the lead singer I could see Band-Maid would have been more of a pop-punk style band. It suits her voice and she's a very energetic person so it'd probably match the style quite well.

@@gringopablo I would say Akane is the metal, punk oriented, and Misa is the funky, jazzy one, but doesn't matter now that bandmaid let the members arrange the part the way they like to a certain extent and make them gel perfectly, and that causes the CHEMICAL REACTION.

The 1st time I watched the good live recording of Rock In Me I had a smile for ear to ear seeing Miku have so much fun. I wanted to bring your attention to a lesser known Band-Maid song, Clang. It's one of my favorites but doesn't get much attention. There used to be a real good video, way better than the studio recordingl but it was taken down a long time ago. I think there are still a few reaction videos of it out there though. Here's the link to the studio recording. I remember one reactor video where they said that if you had it playing in the car you would probably get a speeding ticket. @@RyanMear Yeah, I recommended it, and then I re-watched it, and damn... No Kanami 😭 Well, only at the end of TIME. But the whole LOGO Hamburg OKYUJI is saturated with Kanami. The sound is almost perfect there. You know, my main crush was always MISA. I decided to be on Kanami's side for the sake of balance: I was at MISA'a side twice, then at the centre, and then I thought, I need to film it from Kanami's side. Oh. My. God... I was in love with her after those two hours. Kanami is a mysterious being, maybe even more so than MISA. She's shy and quiet, but in fact, she is responsible for more of the BAND-MAID phenomenon than anyone else. It's she who is the Sun of BAND-MAID, around whom all the other four girls circle as planets. Being so close to her for two hours was a life-changing experience.

Although I appreciate capturing the moment in ‘fan videos’ a phone from the second row at a decent sized venue is rarely going to sound great. So a little unfair on the artist and anyone asked to react. This is the first reaction I wish you hadn’t put up.
