Ok everyone, This was my very first time hearing/seeing BM. My comment on the outfits was not meant to offend but was a reaction. Thank you for those of you that helped me understand more about the band. That is one of the greatest things about you, I learn so much about music and bands I have never been exposed to from YOU!. If you are more offended that I made the comment than you are happy I found them and I like them and I am helping to promote them than you need to grow up and move on. To the majority of you thank you for your kindness, you are appreciated. Todd

The outfits are part of their identity since inception. For me, however, it is their music 100%. The outfits, the language, the fact that they are all women - all irrelevant. They are producing the best hard rock music - and it's possible, when it is all said and done - their catalog of music will be considered one of the best in history.

They definitely should not take off the maid outfits. It's part of their identity! Miku Kobato, the rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist, worked at a maid cafe in Japan after her idol group, Lil Cumin, fell apart. While working at that cafe, she came up with the concept of a band that has a soft, feminine image yet produces hard rock. It's a cultural thing. Besides, they were asked if they still needed the "gimmick," and the bass guitarist MISA said, "Then we'd just be BAND." Can't have that!

p.s The gap between what they look like and sound like is the point. And it was the band founders Idea- they are not some studio created band with a gimmick- they have been playing 7 yr- doing to whole gig scene in tiny bars etc for years in their early days. They earned how good they are the real way. You should enjoy the dicotomy of what they look like over how frigging amazing and hard their music is. And learn the true lesson - that what something looks like can be misleading- and dont think people have to conform to certain appearances that 'fit' what they do. If you think about it even regular metal bands like maiden etc who dont particularly go over the top costume wise- STILL wear clothes they think 'sell' their image - black, leather, chains and studs etc- that is not their daily street clothes. I dont really see a difference with band maid except its a more extreme and unique 'image'. At least their image has a set purpose and idea- of challenging expectations about what rockers have to look like- and to create a strong memorable image.

I get it. When I first saw the maid costumes I thought it was a little weird, but after hearing their awesome music and seeing their personalities as a band and individually, I can’t imagine them without maid costumes and I wouldn’t want them to change anything! Miku, the rhythm guitarist and second vocalist, is the one who had the idea of maids playing hard rock and started the band! I hope you check out their youtube channel and react to more of their great music! Cheers 😎

Glad to see u react this video, and this is backstory of band maid, Miku Kobato (rhythm guitar/ pigtail hairstyle) is the founder of the band, she used to work in Japanese Maid cafe, and she has a dream to start a band, play cool songs, but with unique appearance, she loves Maid uniform, so she choose to wear it, and all the members agreed to the concept, even though it took a long time for their bassist and vocalist to accept, and they were formed from 2013 until now, and maybe forever (we won't know) so far, that's all I know about them, and I respect your opinion, because everyone deserves it, but Band Maid stick to their way :)

Glad you checked them out - they are the real deal. Sure, they wear Maid costumes but then every band chooses what to wear on stage; even the grunge rockers wore flannel shirts on purpose. Even my beloved RUSH tried various “costumes” over the years. And, I compare Band Maid to RUSH musically - that’s how good they are and you see how good they are as performers, players, arrangers and composers. And they have literally dozens of songs this good - not kidding. Next is more live videos - Domination - live - Wonderland - live - Don’t Tell Me- live - Moratorium - live - Turn Me On - live - Play - live - Onset - live- instrumental - Freedom - live - with drum solo Then MV’s - Dice - Sense - Different - Choose Me (in Netflix movie Kate) - Blooming - like EVH tapping? - Secret My Lips - Puzzle - YOLO And the list goes on and on I discovered them in April and am totally addicted to them. I predict you’ll come to love our Maids as much as we Maidiacs do and embrace the concept and costumes - but if not, that’s ok - you’ll see their is no denying their remarkable talents as you noted with Warning (cool MV, too)🔥🔥🔥 Enjoy the journey down the Pigeon hole 😂🤘🏼🎸🥁😎

🤘for the reaction! KZbin kept recommending BAND-MAID to me and I kept thinking, "Maids? Really? Go home KZbin, you're drunk". KZbin insisted, so I caved and clicked on "Thrill". Not what I expected! "Thrill" is their first music video so I watched "Real Existence" and "Don't Let Me Down", I thought to myself "Self, this is cool". I was on a journey of rediscovery of the band Nightwish so I moved on continuing that journey. Several months later, KZbin suggested BAND-MAID's song "onset". I thought, "Oh yeah they're cool" so I clicked on it. A fantastic rock instrumental song that completely captivated me! I then devoured all the music I could find by them at the time. I used to laugh at "Fan Boys" of music groups... Karma's a bitch, and here I am, a Madiac. I have seen others suggesting the live video of the 2 songs "Manners" and "BLACK HOLE". "Manners is a bluesy "Classic" rock style song with BAND-MAID spice. It's up at the top of my list of greatest hard rock songs, amongst classics by "The Scorpions", "Judas Priest", "AC/DC" etc. "BLACK HOLE" is 220 BPM sonic assault with incredible instrumentation and layered vocals that constantly give me the chills. "BLACK HOLE" is currently my favorite BAND-MAID song. Check that video out. 🤘😎🤘

I avoided clicking on BM videos for a long time because they looked like a silly idol group in their outfits. Once I finally listened though, I was blown away by their world-class musicianship. That's the point, the "mismatch" between what you see and hear leaves a strong impression. Funny enough, I actually hated KISS growing up because I thought they were an average band that blew up because of their image. Sorry KISS fans, I can appreciate what they did for rock music, but to each their own 😋.

From Japan… Perhaps more people in Japan feel more uncomfortable with their outfits than you do, and they understand that. But they continue to do that with great music and strong will. They value not only Japan but also foreigners because they believe in and value your ears to listen to music. If you really keep listening to their music, don't worry. However, a trip with the best hard rock band in the world at the moment is waiting.

I kept seeing references to Band-Maid and my initial thought was something like…all-girl band from Japan who dress up as maids…sounds like a gimmick. But when I finally listened to them I was blown away by the level of musicianship, from all of them. And the more songs of theirs I listen to, the more I like them. The live versions of Domination and Play are both really good, but you can’t really go wrong with them as far as I have seen.

Glad you like their sound. But I do find it a bit ironic that you want them drop the "corny maid costume" only to adopt a stereotypical "rock costume".... 1) the visual presentation in Japanese music culture is just as important as the sound. 2) their look is aimed directly at a Japanese cultural trope. In Japan, when you see cute girls in Maid costumes on stage, you expect to hear a certain type of music: cutsie bubble-gum idol Jpop. Instead you get in your face hard rock. It creates a mental dissonance for first timers called "The Gap", which is the clash between what you see and what you hear.

Daydreaming is amazing if you want to hear a softer song- sone call it a power ballad? All about us - is another soft song. Then at the other extreme is black hole, rhinne, no god, different etc. Onset (official live) is an amazing instrumental- freedom live shows off the fun they have on stage. p.s Fans will recommend you do lives mostly- the good quilty offical lives not bad fan cams! But as for MV's- warning, daydreaming, Blooming, Sense, Manners(probably) are recommeded. Their songs dont just vary in speed / hardness- they touch on MANY styles- rock/metal/pop/punk/prog etc and mixes of all of them. They write fantastic music that is much more nuanced and complex than it needs to be but is part of why its so awesome. They are ALSO great musicians- especially bass and drummer- they are literally in the top handful in the world- and the lead is about as good!

My Favorite band by far. Their "Just Bring It" album is probably my favorite but all of their songs are gems on their own with their unique flavor of awesomeness. Although this song was played live, it isn't in front of a live audience. I would suggest Domination live to see how they are like with a crowd.

Band-Maid have built a brand with their unique look and sound. The costumes change gradually over time, but the core aesthetic is not going away. Their latest album, Unseen World, contains 13 other tracks. All different and all just as good as Warning. The entire album (minus 2 bonus tracks) is on their channel.

BAND MAID is a hard rock band, but it's a very diverse band. Listen to different types of songs. 1 Thrill : The first music video that saved them from dissolution. Classic rock 2014 2 Bubble : A tribute to the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, funky rock 3 Different : First anime opening song, new sense of high-speed rock. Anime is Log Horizon 3rd season. 4 Daydreaming : Beautiful power ballad. Kobato's backing vocals and Kanami's guitar solo are wonderful. 5 Dice : Rhythmic hard rock singing women's independence 6 about us : A gift for fans who cannot meet in a pandemic. Beautiful ballad. 7 Freedom : A power rock that walks around the stage and conveys a smile. The transition from drum solo to lead guitar is the best. 8 Manners : Declaration to create new hard rock while inheriting classic rock. Cool hard rock. Rock'n'Roll never die. 9 alone : The song they wrote, composed and released for the first time. Medium speed Hard Rock 2016 10 Secret My Lips and Secret Maiko Lips : Funky Hard Rock. A gift for fans of April Fool's Day . 11 Blooming : Vocals and chorus are impressive, and various types of music are fused. 12 RINNE : High-speed rhythmic heavy rock, inspired by the Japanese horror movie "RINNE : Reincarnation". RINNE (Reincarnation) is also found in Eastern thought and Buddhist thought. 13 onset : Instrumental song for lead singer Saiki breaks, their great playing power and harmony. 14 Before Yesterday : Record of the first overseas performance, Sakura-Con in Seattle 2016. Melodic Rock with great lyrics. 15 Choose me : An insert song of the concert scene the Netflix movie KATE, they appeared as BAND MAID. Cool rock song. Added ★ Peace & Love : Founder Miku Kobato's solo project. Pigeon saves the world. Funky pop rock

Welcome aboard, Todd. You are embarking on (along with many others - 125 million YT views!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid: BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (118 songs with their latest album, “Unseen World” and new single drops), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5XWaJppgpJnorM Their later songs from albums Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, H-G-K, Black Hole, Sense, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts! And many are represented with over 40 well produced music videos. kzbin.info Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts. Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5PcgnaAo5ulj8k), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 (bandmaidprime.tokyo) and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids are excellent. Here’s four of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. These two taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZCUpZttmNmag9E, and a fun, wonderful live performance in Amsterdam of Miku introducing "Don't You Tell Me" (with MISA & Kanami's great instrumental exchange) and "Turn Me On” (with MISA's solo intro): kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZe8gqKNd9GGps0. The next one was taken by JT Dayo in LA: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqasinWhdt6Veas, and finally by JOSER8845 in LA: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6S6i6mifKx3idU. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 27 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 30 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 30 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 30 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 29 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. [BAND-MAID NEWS] ■ BAND-MAID PRIME - Special Video Distribution Website. ** NEW ** Along with nearly 50 great play-through’s by each member, concerts and skits, Band-Maid management / label(s) have finally included the ZEPP 2018 and Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 concerts at their Prime website! By now you have heard from some of the vast Band Maid following, and it is world wide, so to repeat shouldn't be necessary. Just let me add that as a hard rock fan of some fifty five years this band has stolen my heart and are holding it quite securely. They continue to grow and improve in every way and are IMHO the best band (of any genre) out there. And possibly of all time. That's a strong statement, but I do honestly believe it's true. But just watch more Band Maid and decide for yourself. Give Domination and Manners, Black Hole live a try. Also anything from the newest album Unseen World or the new single Sense should give you some idea of there immense talent.

Yes, there's more from this band, and each song is pretty much different than the next. There are several years worth of songs so it's hard to recommend just one song. I'll agree with Colin's suggestions below. "Sense" the latest one or "Manners/Black Hole" the 2-in-1 live video. If you're still interested, look for a pre-Covid live video with an audience to really see Band-Maid shine. Try either "Domination" or "Play". Then shake your head and remember to react to another band before coming back to Band-Maid.

Did KISS 'need' the makeup and costumes? Does Alice Cooper 'need' the theatrics? The maid outfits are part of the original concept of the band and although they can kick ass without them, it is their look. Personally I wouldn't want them to stop wearing the costumes. You would do better to pay more attention to the music, they are the best hard rock band on the planet, with or without costumes.

The point of the outfits was at the core of their inception. Miku (Rhythm Guitar, backing vocals and lyricist) used to work at a “Maid Cafe” and wanted to juxtapose that image against Hard Rock. It works! They are a powerhouse of talent and at the top of the game in songwriting - period. Enjoy!

Thanks for checking Band-Maid out, Todd! Dude, I found this band about 7 months ago and the music is so good, so versatile, and the band is so unbelievably charismatic and talented, that the maid outfits don't even register anymore (although I can't imagine the band without them). There's TONS more. Anything you pick will very pleasantly surprise you and my guess is you'll be a Maidiac in the not too distant future. Be well! 🕊

You should check out the actual music video! It’s crazy and fun! This year they had a cameo in the Netflix movie Kate. You can hear two songs from Band-maid (Blooming and Choose Me) one song you can see them playing in the background. Some other songs you should check out from Band-maid is Thrill, Dice, Freedom (live), Different, Domination (live) Manners, Different and After Life. Another Japanese band you should check out is Scandal. I can give you some suggestions and links for Scandal songs. Also check out Lovebites too.

I myself am from Germany, do not speak Japanese and until a few years ago I was one of those who said that the rock genre is practically dead.... Well, these ladies have taught me better, and today I say 'Long live rock'n'roll'. :) Believe me, how much this band, these ladies are actually able to kick butts, you can't even begin to guess after just one song! Not only for me, but for quite a lot of people out there, they are by far the best thing the genre has seen and heard in decades. Their live versions of Domination, Freedom and Onset are actually the usual must-see if you're willing to go deep into this pigeon-hole. Greetings from the German Maidiacs division. :) _____________________ 【 _Our rock never dies ever. Forever!_ 】- from BAND-MAID 'Manners' 🕊

As other have pointed out, a certain look and costumes are very common with Japanese bands, it is not unusual there. A whole genre (visual kei) was built around costuming, sometimes very elaborate. Funny thing is that the male bands are typically the most elaborate. They just see it as another way to express themselves. So I wouldn’t get too hung up with costumes if you do this, or other, Japanese bands. Eventually you just go with it and it becomes normal. But for future Band-Maid songs try Manners/Black Hole (two songs together) if you like bluesy rock followed by a progressive onslaught. Rinne is good if like a harder sound. Daydreaming for a true ballad. Japanese bands also tend to not pigeonhole themselves into one genre of music. There is a band called Maximum the Hormone that will do 5 or 6 genres…..in one song. But they are awesome.

Ok, no one should take this too seriously but it is true. We talk about bands and costumes, but every band has a costume, whether they realize it or not. Google metal band and you will see it. Four or five dudes in black t-shirts. Check. At least two must be band shirts, preferably Tool, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Pantera, or similar band. Check. At least one must have sleeves removed to show biceps. Check. At least one dude must wear vest or leather jacket. Check. At least two must have enough ink to count as sleeve. Check. Blue or black jeans, with at least two wearing jeans with holes on, or near, knee. Check. At least one chain must be visible at all times. This is very important. Check. At least two must wear wrist band, or equivalent. Check. At least two must wear boots, or equivalent. Check. Everyone must look angry in at least 90% of band photos. Check. Don’t believe me, look for yourself. Personally, I would like to see more metal bands show up in a tux or a tutu.

MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃Badass Bass Assassin. Band-Maid are the best Hard Rock band in the world right now. If you lose the Maid outfits then you lose "the gap" that these musicians love to create between their outfits and their music. The "gap" is a thing in Japan. You see B-M and you think they are an "Idol"band. Then B-M smacks you in the face with their Hard Rock sound. B-M MV's are very good but their Live videos are 10 times better. Always good to watch someone listen to Band-Maid for the first time. I discovered them almost 2 years ago when I stumbled across the music video for Blooming. Great song but didn't capture me, probably because it was a music video and I prefer live. Several months later (not sure how long), I saw the video of their live performance of Domination. I was hooked. This band has improved tremendously over the years, especially when they were given their artistic freedom and Kanami, the lead guitarist, began writing all of their music. Their most recent album, Unseen World, will be considered a classic because of the musical genius of Kanami. The rest of the band are as good as they are because they have been pushed and challenged by Kanami's music. My suggestions for other songs are Domination (live), Onset (live) and the recent video of Manners/Black Hole, a two for one that shows Kanami's song writing range. Since finding Band-Maid, I have listened to a lot of Japanese bands. The only two that I feel are in the same league as Band-Maid are Lovebites and Nemophila. The members of both of these bands are seasoned musicians that have played in other bands so there have been no growing pains. The best and most common starter song for Lovebites is their live performance of the song Holy War. Nemophila is only about two years old but there is a lot of music to choose from because they have spent the long covid break cranking out amazing covers as well as their own stuff. I think the live performance of their song Oiran at Naon Yaon 2021 would be a great introduction. Both songs are on the bands' KZbin channels. Enjoy!

Good reaction to the musicianship but remember this is not an American western style rock n roll band. This is the East and the Japanese have a wonderful and unique way to present traditionally recognised western music. Understand that many bands have concepts. KISS or Alice Cooper for instance. Would you consider they remove their make up and play in what every 1 else does. Black t's and black jeans. Band Maid have an unique concept. Mixing the look and the music. The huge contrast between the 2. It was Miku on rhythm guitar who started the band and considered the idea would be something that would grab the market's attention. It certainly has. The women have the look, the personalities and the most of all, the fun element. There is a huge niche market following this band and would just about kill to see them live (well not quite but you know what I mean). They are 1 of the most entertaining and fun live bands (when they could play). I recommend you buy 1 of their concert DVD's to see just how good they are. As so many say, they are 1 of a kind never seen before and why they are so popular. Part of that is their outfits. No one else does that. The main thing is their music and the quality of their talent. Once you hear the complexity, creativity and diversity, you'll gain an ever better appreciation of their skill. Hard riffs and solos followed by beautiful melodies and vocals. Listen to Daydreaming. So many others including Choose Me. The MV of Warning is the 1 to watch though. It's action packed. The Band has always produced clips right from the start. The breaker was Thrill. A really simple set with creative imaging and excellent editing and shots. Give Hibana a listen too. One of their most recent releases. No MV but super good and highlights their progression. Do yourself a favour by listening and watching more of their 100 plus song catalogue now. If you're not impressed, you're hard to please.

@@MusicWithToddLedbetter Do I live in Japan? LOL! No, I live in Phoenix, Az., and I've never even been to Mexico. Never been to Japan and don't really know anything about it except for what I've learned since I discovered Band-Maid in May or June of 2000 while sitting around avoiding covid, so I've been a Maidiac for about 1 1/2 years now. I've since discovered many other bands from Japan that pretty much make the music coming out of America sound like crap, except for Joe Satriani, Slipknot, some Alter Bridge, Halestorm, Metallica, and a few others. I'd never heard of BM until I tried Babymetal, who I don't care for (my turn to get skewered). I kept seeing comments that suggested BM, so I thought I'd give them a try. I first watched their MV for "Thrill" and I found myself intrigued. Next, I watched a live version of "Play". This video was from the Zepp show back in 2018 and was taken down and replaced by the version with the new intro from the Shibuya show. I was pretty blown away and wanted more. Then I watched the "Domination" live video which I see you posted today. After watching "Domination" live it was all over. They are my heroin I guess. And it didn't take long to realize that I don't give a rats ass that I don't understand Japanese. I'll be 64 next month and I've enjoyed music my whole life. My mother listened to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass when I was growing up. Since I grew up in the Detroit area I couldn't avoid the Motown artists such as the Temptations. My first rock album was by Steppenwolf when I was about 12. My favs over the years were, chronologically, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and so on. I haven' been this excited about a band since Van Halen came out. As a matter of fact, I am of the opinion that Band-Maid are the best musical act on the planet right now, regardless of gender, genre, or nationality. And they just keep getting better. Among the Japanese bands you might want to check out, if you haven't already, are Lovebites, Maximum the Hormone, Unlucky Morpheus, Ningen Isu, Wagakki Band, and my most recent discovery, Nemophila. All these bands came from suggestions from commenters on BM videos and reactions. You might also want to try Jinjer (Ukraine), Rammstein (Germany), Unleash the Archers (Canada), Lacuna Coil (Italy) and Gojira (France). The USA and Britian are no longer the gold standard for rock and metal. May I suggest a BM song that is my personal favorite but, for some reason, doesn't seem to get as much love as dozens of others? Try "YOLO". Eventually, you'll also need to do "After Life". The opening shot of "After Life" is allegedly in the maid cafe where Miku (backing vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and band founder) actually worked before putting BM together. You might also want to look up some "Japanese nightlife" videos on KZbin that show maid cafes. TBH, I hadn't heard of them either until I discovered our Maids.

@@MusicWithToddLedbetter I vote mostly democrat these days. Do you fit the bill? Okay, now that all that is out of the way...you want to see Band-Maid perform without the maid outfits??? Seriously. You'll need to watch their alter-egos, Band-Maiko. Check out Band-Maiko's "Secret Maiko Lips". Then you can check out Band-Maid's "Secret My Lips". No jeans and t-shirts tho.

A hard rock metal band but I never got into them. It is more their vocals I’m not into. They play pretty good trash speed metal. I think they look ridiculous in their maid costumes but it’s their gimmick and it looks like it attracts their hard core fans.

You need to work a bit on the reasoning. Looks attracts, but the sound is the staying power. Looks => new fans. Sound => hard core fans. You can thank me later 😉

Wear different clothes?!?! You got some gaul to suggest that an Internationally popular and famous band needs to change for you. They don't need your advice.
