It’s easy to say that Kanami is a genius, but it’s quite a different thing to wrap you head around how good she really is. Song after song, each different and special in their own way. You can listen to their whole catalog, all the songs that came from the band and the ones that they had input into that were written by others. Each one is maximized and exceptionally crafted. All that from someone so unassuming. I’m not being critical with this next statement, if she had the self promotion (for lack of a better description) of other artist then she could be extremely famous. Instead of touting herself she just goes about making more music, because that and her band is what she cares about. Awesome in every way.

One of their many masterpieces! Just before the guitar solo, the simple 4-bar guitar phrase played behind SAIKI's wonderful vocals is proof that Kanami is a genius.

Wonderland is a great progy, jazz rocker with touches of funky elegance wrap around a mid-tempo, storytelling, epic soundscape. In other words, as Ryan Mear and Chase put it, ”Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things!” 😊 Thx, Joel!

When I first discovered Band Maid, this song gave me a palpable emotional reaction, and it still give me chills. Just FYI, Band Maid put the first third of last year's Christmas acoustic on their Prime site and I'm guessing they will follow up with the rest of the set. Saiki was amazing. You can also now get tickets to stream their 9 Jan. concert which looks to be a three-hour show. Merry Christmas all.

This is a good song that is elevated by this amazing performance. Saiki just sounds amazing in this And I love seeing Mincho doing that low crouch walk with the guitar like Chuck Berry in the background.

I'm probably the only idiot that calls this the frog song not in derision but the bass and guitars sound like frogs croaking. Highly underrated and is somewhere in my top 10 or 15 Band-Maid songs mainly the vocals and harmonizing make it that good.

Wonderland is another favorite from Conqueror album along with Mirage. Love the ethereal feel, yet the lyrics fits the melody perfectly. It's such a pity that Japanese isn't a language that many people understand. Western language in general are more direct, cut straight into your heart type thing while Japanese is a sort of language where you have to read the gap between lines, and the music fills that gap by evoking the feel. It's something that can't be recreated with English lyrics.

I know who he is. When I first started I contacted him but never heard back. It is awesome to see a roadie doing so well though!!!!!!!!!!!!! My hats off to the guy =-)
