Once again, with "Zen" Band-Maid has exceeded our expectations. I know that the Maids are Anime fans and that they really 'get into' writing Anime themes songs, but I think that the "Zenshu" anime made a huge impression on them, inspiring them to write this amazing song. After "Epic Narratives" following it with "Zen" was a Coup.

They play like a super group, but they came up from nothing together. Making great music with what they had the whole way. Incredible band. Incredible people.

The MV was actually filmed at the new MAPPA office/studio, where MAPPA recently moved to😊

Agreed, Band-Maid are firing on all cylinders these days. I've been watching the anime too (up to ep2), so far so good. But in the long run, I hope it's daring enough to break the traditional isekai mold. It's got an interesting premise and I hope MAPPA capitalizes on it.

My unsolicited opinion of the recent Anime songs. Sense, Shambles and Different are all great top tier Band Maid songs. Protect You and Saiki's "Tactics" are very good too. I'm on the fence about Zen though. I like it because it's them and it does have all the signature Band Maid stuff in it but I don't know. The vocals are intentionally pushed up hard in this one. Which is pretty much the norm for Anime unless it's Maximum the Hormone. LOL As far as the Anime's themselves it's gonna be very hard to beat Platinum End. Very hard. But that's just me

Yea I hard agree with you, like for sure I definitely like the song but I can’t say it’s gunna be in my top band maid songs.
