I love Bolt Action. I'm working up US Airborne for Normandy - the older metals - and I have Afrika Korps starter army + extras and a squad of metal Gebirgsjager. The miniatures are exquisite.

Just finishing up on 2 armies myself(German Infantry division vs British armoured division). This game looks so nice on a table full of terrain.

I was also super excited about the terrain piece Naomi XD. The kits look like top quality! It'd be nice to make some dioramas with them using Vallejo weathering effects and diorama effects I think... Mmmm, must experiment, must spend moar moneh! :O

Great videos! A tip I found for the wound counters. Dip and press the numbers dial into white paint before putting together. This helps highlight the numbers so you can actually read them.

The Warlord models are very nice, and honestly there's no shortage of models available in 28mm. If someone were to want to build a very mechanized force (for something like Tank Wars for instance), 20mm (aka 1:72) is also a great option. The supply of affordable 1:72 military kits is practically bottomless! Plastic Soldier Company is my personal favorite (and also does 28mm), but there's also Italieri, Waterloo 1815, Pegasus, and First to Fight. Also, if you plan on playing a lot of urban battles, consider papercraft buildings. People like Dave Graffam, Paper Realms, and Fat Dragon have excellent ready to print files that can quickly be turned into great looking terrain.

The book thing is probably maps. I love that there is a captured Soviet submachinegun - a PPSh - on the German sprue.

TV series was very good! This looks awesome too since I like WW2 history as well. Wermacht were amongst my fave.

I know this video is 5 months ago and you probably came across this issue already but with the pin markers the numbers are hard to see on the table. For me it's still annoying to try to see what number i'm at after looking closely. I found that painting the numbers white helped a lot for me.

Warhammer fans note that this game was created by Alessio Cavatore and Rick Priestley ex GW game desginers and Rick Priestley created the first edition and had input into the early editions of WH40K, so yeah it's a really good game.

Have played Bolt Action thru both editions. Have at least a reinforced platoon of every army plus a decent partisan force.

Although it's enough to start shooting guys at each other, you really need more Germans than what comes in this set. I picked this up last year, did up all the Paratroopers, then went to 1/72 scale because it was cheaper haha. I finally got around to picking up enough BA figs to round the set out to a full reinforced platoon with support weapons on both sides. All that stuff will be here next Monday, so I'll have a bit of painting to do :). Vehicles will be coming once I get all the painting done, but at the prices they get for 28mm vehicles, I'm not buying anywhere near as much stuff as I did in 1/72nd scale. You can get 3 or 4 tanks for $ 20 or so from PSC depending on where you shop & what models you want.
