I swear I think Haruna could do a long-distance marathon in world record time. Without breaking a sweat and have a huge smile afterwards. Her endurance level is incredibly insane. I love Fami's bass work on this number. I don't think she gets enough credit on how good he really is. I saw this full concert when it streamed. After the show the 5 of them signed one of Haruna's drumheads and tossed it out to the audience. Oh, Haruna's cymbal work is immaculate. Shes so precise on her cymbal strikes, I tell anyone who wants to be a drummer, to pay attention to her cymbal work. This was their closing number to.

@Patrick_H.2 ай бұрын
Another good one, Bob. The technique Miyako was playing is called *'sweeping* - you learn to sweep across the strings with the pick and articulate each note as you glide over it. Miyako (and Midori) are _very_ good at it. Miyako did the opening tapping, into a dual harmony, then played a solo at the end of each verse, and did the *_very_* fast picking throughout each Chorus, then a harmony lead with Midori, into her own 16 bar solo, then another dual harmony with Midori, more solos during the final verse and chorus, then the ending solo as they closed out their set. I think she may have played more notes in a single song than anyone ever has . . except maybe Yngwie.
@bobcieslinski2 ай бұрын
Thanks Patrick. Yep sweeping. Lots of fantastic guitar stuff in this one.
@obud37772 ай бұрын
By the way, it's actually easier to play the guitar with one leg up, especially when you have the guitar very low while standing, that's why many guitarists go one leg up while playing lead or a solo, so you have better reach and control over the fretboard!

Correct me if I'm wrong... But someone said this was the 13th song of the 18 song concert set... Talk about keeping the exquisite high level on top.... ! That says something about the skill kept thru the whole concert by these lady's.. And just think about the stamina of Haruna... But then, they are all 5 equlibrent perfectionists. Each one a master in their respective craft. What also as allways shines thru. Is the remarkable idea's, mind and song writing of Miyako. That , each stellar skillness, and each ones input as each song is bringed to life, a long musical training life before and ton of practice together and by themselves. This lady's to me are in their genre an unique band. So much greatness in each one so it's almost not fair against other powermetal/Trash band's. And again, not a single bad song. I really hope as many as possible will discover and apriacate them in our present time whilethey are at their absolute peak. Cant see many band's in the world in their genre who is as good in all the ways as lovebites. In our current time. Maybe BattleBeast and Unleash the Archers. But none of them does every song an piece of art. And in none of them are every single musician at this technical level. Love ure chanel Mr Cieslinski. And ure reactions. During a review of their own song, Miyako apologized to Haruna (in a fun way) for the speed of the song. Haruna held her card up saying “so fast”. If I remember correctly, Haruna said she had to practice and work on her endurance for this song it had such a rapid pace. That they can play it live is a credit to their always astonishing abilities. Plus, this was at the end of probably a 20 song concert.

Well worth the long hours of standing and waiting!

In this release video for SSS, Miyako drew a sign with an apology to both Asami (high notes) and Haruna (fast drumming) saying "Asami & Haruna: Sorry" after Haruna showed a sign "Fast!" multiple times (and Midori "Doko Doko Doko Doko"), and Asami gave jokingly a "devil's horn" sign. Haruna saw that and did the same, then both did it. They've also show signs, Haruna "Fast!" and later "Focus on drums", Asami one indicating, that the song had very early on high notes (sth. with "A" Melo). Before the release of this official live video, that release video with the LOVEBITES members was the best SSS video on KZbin! See v=jeL6FHQ01V4
