As a lifelong musician and a metal fan for more than 40 years, I love this band's music so much! But I actually appreciated the gentleman here (sorry, I don't know your names!) admitting that he found it "overwhelming" because of how much was going on. It was a good reminder for people like me, who have been listening to this kind of music for a very long time, that learning to appreciate it takes time. With experience, you learn how to listen and take it all in, and hear how all the different instruments weave in and out of each other, how to hear the intricacy and complexity while hearing the whole combination at the same time.

@@GrayFox14 Yep, agreed. Again, I certainly don't agree with almost everything "V" says, but like I said, he's probably just a LB f*n*tic. You don't have to agree with me per se about "P" or "V". In either case, there's no definitive proof (yet) of them being you know who. However, the idea is to remain ON ALERT to what the grifter "I" is intending to do and not fall prey to his attempts to deceive

Asami, the vocalist, used to be a back chorus member of a famous Japanese rock band, so she considers her singing voice as one of her instruments. Therefore, she values the balance of the entire performance more than conveying the message, and prioritizes getting the audience to like the song itself. Her stance is that if people like the song and become more interested in it, they can look up the lyrics later.

Well this is one of the best LIVE bands out there and loaded with insane talent. A Frozen Serenade is recommended for a slower paced intro to the band. If you like drums (Haruna/drums at 4' 9" is a beast on that massive kit) try another great drummer Junna doing a cover of Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3zVYntqf9tpn9U Japanese female drummers as a group are insanely talented and have Olympic level endurance.

Haruna, the drummer has incredible stamina! If you want some fun with drums, but sticking with Japanese women 【 JUNNA 】Painkiller / Judas Priest - Drum cover kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJDRia1qqt6EjLs ----- As others have said this is one of the faster Lovebites songs, though there are others this full on. All of the below are either a lot slower, or quite a bit slower (but still fast) They are primarily a speed and thrash metal band, as you said also similar in a lot of ways to the NWOBHM bands like Iron Maiden etc. A Frozen Serenade kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5aboYSMqpKFhJo Edge of The World kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGHEq6CGecR-e5I Spellbound kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIOXeHqubq1re68 Unchained kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJPFfqOnZ9-anrM Raise Some Hell kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJLQhIR6Za-IfM0 Don't Bite The Dust kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXnRfHp7n5Z2g8U Set The World On Fire kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2rdpHtsnqySbMU ----- This is a really interesting reaction to watch. As you two have different tastes it draws out how you each feel about it in interesting ways, and how you process the sound differently. For me it works like this. A food analogy! I like to have lots of ingredients on my plate but each ingredient to have a very distinct taste that goes well with the others. Then I like to eat some of each ingredient all at once so I get to taste every flavour distinctly, but all at once! It creates a kind of positive overwhelming experience. For me LOVEBITES is like that. A lot of slower music for me is like only eating one ingredient at a time which is far less enjoyable. But some very fast very heavy music, even though all the ingredients are still there, I can't separate them when listening any more, so its like the entire meal has been put in a blender, and now every mouthful is exactly the same taste, same texture, with no distinct flavours. Bands that sound like this to me all sound the same, and all their songs sound the same (that's nothing wrong with the bands, it's just how I process the sound, or that others are seeking a different experience from music than I am) So the prefect spot is as much going on at once as possible, but without getting to the point my brain can no longer easily process the distinct sounds. ----- A suggestion that I think could be hilarious to watch due to each of your tastes! It's if metal had a car crash with j-pop. Broken By The Scream - Rising sun kzbin.info/www/bejne/haaammiYitqVkNU

Obviously not heard of the reformed 'Hagane'...they are in a different class, with Junna, [queen of the drums],Sayaka, Sakura and their new singer Nagi.
@Patrick_H.2 ай бұрын
I have hopes for Hagane. I hope Sakura can make it work this time. Still think the original lineup sounded better. I like Junna, but I hope she has lost some of her ego and is able to fit in without having to be the 'star'. Trident instantly got better when Nagisa came on board.
@isobar58572 ай бұрын
@@Patrick_H. With respect, I have to differ. Since when can , flair, style, incredible drumming skills and infectious enthusiasm be equated with an 'ego' ? Junna is the best of the best and I have never heard or seen her brag about her undisputed talent. I've never seen her rush to the front of the band to claim her share of the audiences appreciation and applause. Furthermore, I have to assume you have not listened to all of 'Hagane's' new tracks, so how can you judge them on one song? Correct me if I'm wrong in this assumption. Perhaps you may consider her playing in the song 'Hero time'...her drumming is a wall of thunder. She dosen't have to be the 'star' and if it 'appears' that she is, then says all there is to say about her talent and skills. I get tired of what I perceive to be unjustified criticism of her. It would seem that the 'Green eyed monster' always rears it's ugly head when someone who is 'exceptional' and stands out from the rest is playing. Such is human nature. Peace and love...from an ardent Junna fan.
@Patrick_H.2 ай бұрын
Don't get me wrong, I am a Huge admirer of Junna's drumming ability, and technique. But, I always felt Junna played too much and too flashy with GRBK, and overshadowed Asaka and Serina in the mix (both are equally talented to Junna, in different skill sets). Also, having her name on her bass drum, instead of the band name, was disrespectful and showed no 'commitment' to the 'band'. I don't knock her for that - Hell, she was only about 19-20 yo, but it led to friction and eventually broke up the band. I saw a big change in her when she played at Gasshan Ichinose's album release, where she played under control and really held things together. I was a very early fan and supporter of Hagane, and was sad to see them break up. When pretty much the whole Band leaves a budding and successful group _en masse_ it says a lot about the band's leadership (Sakura). Sakura is Also very young, and still learning how to be a musician with a band instead of making guitar covers on KZbin. IMHO Hagane's current sound needs some work to start sounding as good as the earlier version. I truly hate it when really good bands are unable to keep together over the long haul, but it happens all the time. Trident got really lucky with Nagisa, and so did Hanabie with Chika. Lovebites just barely survived losing Miho - but it was only one member gone, and the bassist is 'generally' the easiest to replace in a band without changing the feel and sound of your music too much. Hagane now faces completely re-imagining their sound. They sound pretty good now, but it's still really early. I love Sakura, and I hope she makes it work this time. btw, when I listened to Junna on Hero Time, my first thought was 'Haruna, with less cymbals' - and that is praise, not criticism.
