Everything you said. All the Lovebites ladies are fantastic musicians who write and arrange quality songs, can play them well on stage in a crowd pleasing way and look spellbinding while they do it. MDO is one of my favorites from the Clockwork Immortality album and it seems like they have a blast performing it live, especially Asami. This is one of the most classic thrashy songs in their catalog too, so I definitely see the Metallica comparison.

"M.D.O." was made specifically so an audience could sing along live. Its title stands for "Most Destructive Outset" and its lyrical theme was inspired by the Resurrection arc of the manga series

Although I maintain both Midori and Miyako are excellent guitarists, they are not the "best" ones out there in terms of ability. What makes them so good is their approach, each having a different method and technique, although lately they have merged abilities quite a bit, basically Miyako has increased her fret speed. Other bands have harmony guitar (or in Unlucky Morpheus, guitar and/or violin) such as Nemophila, as they also incorporate two lead guitarists. But LB takes the harmony section to a great length, and the speed of the sections makes them pretty unique. Haruna is kind of the queen of fills and cymbal work. I was listening to an older AC/DC song, and the drum is pretty much one standard pattern throughout the entire song, but that steady beat was exactly what the song needed. It got your toes tapping and fingers dancing to that beat. So sometimes steady is the right technique, but you'll rarely find that in a LB's song as they love to weave in some complexities. Lovebites fans are waiting for the new album as that will be the first with a Fami influence. Nice review, and of course I'm a big LB fan, lol. Here is a link to a Chinese 8 year old girl prodigy on guitar, similar to what YoYo used to do. if you want the true opinion of the abilities of LOVEBITES - watch reactions from band teacher's and others that would be considered professional musicians. they know true talent and let you in on the technical abilities of the members. haruna is my favorite drummer of any band and her cymbal work and great fills clinch it. i especially love her use of the ice bell as it gives a different feel to the songs.
