Bandai DX VF25 to Renewal

Scorched Earth Toys @ anymoon.com documents the improvements Bandai has made in going from the original DX VF-25 toy to the 'renewal' DX VF-25. This wasn't a modest improvement or slight mold tweak, this is a dramatically different beast.

there is so many more problems than just power. 1. fitting robotics and fighter plane parts in the same spots would be challenging as hell. 2. You would need new materials just so it wouldn't be crushed under its own weight. 3. You have to figure out how to control the damn thing

@@xenoplaguedoctor2912 controls could be done by converting Basic analog controls to complicated movements with AI, but otherwise its would indeed be extreme hard to make one, and even harder to make one that works even slightly like the one in the anime

Just got mine used for $300. They seller did a fantastic job panel lining the grooves. What scale would you say these dx versions are 1/60 or 1/72?

I have a VF-25 Renewal review and comparison posts of the renewal super parts and armored parts to their original releases so a lot of this may seem familiar. This is the first time I took the base toy and just examined the differences. This makes it so when I review the RVF or any other future renewals I can spend more time talking about the merits of the toy and less time about the incremental changes.

That bundle is a version 1 toy. There are no version 2 bundles.

Came across your video while searching for de messiah renewal. do you know of a site that ACTUALLY have it? been looking for it for a while. only amazon an ebay have them and some of then dont ship to my country in south america. just wondering if you have a preference for buying this one in particular. thank you for your time.

The VF-25F Messiah Renewal (Alto custom) has just been reissued and you should be able to track it down. The VF-25S and VF-25G toys are now long since sold out and you'll need to wait for the next reissue or pay scalper prices.

That's the VF100 fighter mode only toy. Check out anymoon.com and search for the VF-25 toys, you'll find them and all the info about them.

Yes, I'll make one picture with all the boxes from both version 1 and "renewal" version but it may take me a couple weeks to get to it. In the meantime, if you go to anymoon.com and select VF-25 from the right-hand menu, you can find posts for version 1 and renewal toys and see each of the boxes there.

Many of the toys I bought years ago were purchased through friends in Japan. Today many toys are purchased online but they're hard to find so I don't use any particular store.

Negative, these are completed toys. There is a 1/72 perfect transformation model but that's a different beast. I don't review/do videos on any models since I lack the requisite skills.

.. +$.300 .. and it is not a regular toy for kids, it is a memorabilia from the respective IP and intended for adult collectors, it is very delicate and careful requored to handle. Bandai released some versions of it, there is one which intended for kids to play roughly
