This video was exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for a side by side with an original. I'll order the Z now. I'm very happy with the comparison. Thanks again!

Thanks. When I made the video I didn't realize that the figure is actually a reproduction of one never released in the west but it hasn't reduced my enthusiasm. I'm glad I could help.

Love this! In 6th grade, I traded some GI Joes to get Mazinga from a friend. Best trade ever! (Actually, maybe worst considering how much it's awesomeness got me into spending on robots). Kept it ever since, prominently displayed in my office! Mazinger Z was the first Jumbo Machinder ever made. Produced in Japan, but never shipped to the U.S. This re-release is a reproduction of the Jumbo that started the craze! A real treasure. It seemed to sell out most places in minutes thought. Gone by the time I even knew about it. I found the Kappa site too and snagged one, so fingers crossed on my end also.

I'm so glad I could help. This might be the most exciting figure I have on preorder and I'm willing to bet that Bandai will continue to produce more Jumbo Machinder.

Cool video been looking for information on the Mazinger Z jumbo. Do they charge you the full amount on kappa site or a percentage ?

This is a remake of the Popy Mazinger Z from 1973 (a loose one in decent shape will set you back hundreds of dollars). It was the original "Jumbo Machinder" that led to Great Mazinger which then made it's way to the USA as Great Mazinga in the Shogun Warriors line.

I actually discovered that right after I made my video but I'm cool with them remaking the figures. It's definitely near the top of my most anticipated figures.
