The violet spheres on his shoulder spikes are actually where he generates King Ghidorah-shaped wings made of pure energy. This is seen in some concept art of the Type B Bagan for the "Mothra vs Bagan" script, but it still applies to the Type A version. This figure is such a monumental step for the monster and we honestly have Godziban to thank for it.

Really very appreciative seeing Bagan in figure form as we never really got to see this design so in depth. 1:48 head is amazing and with those wrinkles gives us an idea of what could've been as a suit. And the comparison at 9:39 to 9:50 is such a nice touch to Bagan's history in this vid. Def top 10 best figure of 2023. If Bandai should ever do any of the other unused Bagan designs for an mms, I would love to see the one that meant for one of the Mothra movies. Specifically the one in that concept art in which he is shooting a beam through imago Mothra's wing as her larvae looks on. That one goes hard imo (prob even more than the official one).

Glad someone caught them lil references! Bagan is just... a never-ending well of MMS possibilities. All his forms alone could pad out an entire year of MMS figures and then some! And if they were treated anything like this one I'd so beyond okay with a year of Bagan!

Would 100% be on board with a Bandai "Almost in a Movie Monster Series" line of figures. GMK Anguirus and Varan, Ghost Godzilla, Berserk, plenty of possibilities. But for now, I just have my fingers crossed Bandai goes nuts with *at least* color variants of this guy. It's like a fever dream seeing a Bagan figure in the modern day, and this review pointed out details of this particular design I hadn't even noticed before from the Movie Studio Tour model. Great video!! Also random side note, those purple orbs on Bagan's shoulder things are used to produce energy-created "Wings of Light" so he can fly around! A visual of this can be seen on one of the "Mothra vs. Bagan" storyboards.

*BAGAN IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!* This the biggest surprise and this time, bandai did this figure justice with this kaiju that truly deserves more love!!! The figure is a BEAST that does scale well with some 6 inch godzilla figures. The paint and detail, just WOW!!!! Love seeing this figure released. Trying not to see that he looks like an Ultra Kaiju Series release from roughly 1998-2002 (Seriously... From a sculpt, paint and material standpoint, he would look right at home tussling with Ultraman Cosmos). @@ShinRobjira Oh I definitely agree that Bagan is Toho's wildcard (although, Toho is the one who keeps scrapping Bagan's appearance in almost every heisie godzilla film's early production, besides video games) and they took a big gamble on Bagan by introducing him in the Godizban tv show in a short film special. I'm also hoping that Bagan has more releases and finally getting a future movie appearance.

Still insane this actually got made at all. Like never was this mentioned or made at all even by the likes of Marmit, Marusan, YMSF, or any other Japanese based Godzilla Merchandise machine. It was Bandai of all companies that decided "Yeah this monster looks cool. So lets make a figure out of him" All this is thanks to the likes of Godziban of all things and even then Bandai based this design off the Studio Tour Dreamcast game instead of Godziban one. Even more crazy is this is something you'd expect as a poll winner since it's so obscure but it got made anyway. And finally, the fact this got made before say idk... Showa King Ghidorah, Showa Rodan, Showa Mothra etc is beyond funny. Anyway only thing that can make me smile more is if Bandai considers making a Super Godzilla figure to go with as well as a "Retro Color" Red Bagan, and then the dream would be complete.

It really IS bonkers. The most of I've seen of Bagan are just really expensive Garage Kits and then some. Hopefully this opens the flood gates for YMSF, Marmit, Marusan & whoever else to get to making their own Bagan! The Bonkers level only gets more Bonkersesque when, like ya said, Bagan, essentially a Videogame and Godziban monster, got a MMS rep over long hoped for designs, from movies and projects that ACTUALLY GOT MADE. So sad I have to wait till december, since I preordered on the original Shop link Even though this ver wasn't from the superGodzilla game, (but was a concept ver for the 1995 film), I really hope we get a super Godzilla and the other variants of this look. ('Design A' the red n black one, and the sg game) He has some fun powers and I'd love to see him adapted into a movie some day, maybe as the final monsterverse villian instead of Destroyah like so many fans want. Bagan actually made it in a “movie”. There’s this kids show on the Godzilla KZbin channel called Godziban and I believe last year or so they released a three mini movie collection on blu ray. Bagan showed up as the main villain in one of them and this design of bagan is from that movie. Though this fig doesn’t have the Godziban tag like the Godziban figures
