What happened to those days? At least we tried to be decent to each other instead of insulting each other

White racist America went to war against the very idea of black equality. Whites participated or sat aside when the FBI and hundreds of police departments framed and murdered the leaders and the rank and file of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense. Look up COINTELPRO if you realky want to know.

I hate bringing politics into this, but our present day leaders want to see a divided America. Remember the old adage "A house divided cannot stand".

Those in power know we are stronger together united against them then we are tearing at each other. Kinda explains the promotion of divisiveness we have today.

2:31 I like the violin part added plus the reverb on the song. This ain't a bad version whatsoever.

One thing I never understood about this song: The girl's name is Bandala, but the lyric is "Bab-da-lay-la." Anybody got any ideas?

He (along with Danny Bonaduce and Shirley Jones) were on Arsenio Hall in the 90s and they played that clip. He was embarrassed by it. "My dialouge. It's sort of an Afro thing."
