Ok so I think for the final smash, we do everything you said, but we have to activate it. Both brick fall in front of bandana waddle dee, is it hits, the final smash you described plays out. And in the background, like Ridley final smash, you see planet popstar blow up in the distance if you get all three test perfect.

I would assume you filmed this all solo - that's super impressive! Combining live action with clips from star allies and green screen smash transitions was well worth the wait. I understand that it takes a REALLY long time, so I don't recommend making these videos often. Kind of a shame you weren't able to implement the ground thrust -> waddle copter combo from KF2, but I digress.

These are so cool! I love the idea of using moves from various Kirby games. Also as someone who has used a staff before, I am very impressed by your staff spinning skills! Another thing you can do for the down B in order to balance it you can make each element also have a drawback or something bad that happens to bandana dee. For example if he uses ice his up b wont go as high and this can continue to all the other elements. Great video btw

Electricity makes attacks weaker, fire makes you take little bits of damage (like 1-2% for attack) and water could simply work as the other water moves just pushing away instead of slowing

I have a different idea for down special. It acts like a counter, however, instead of just doing a more powerful attack, his spear becomes the element of the attack that hit him, along with being slightly more powerful overall.

For the down special you can prob have the effect wear off after a short period of time and it has a cool down to when you can use it again, and also with side special it could be like if you do it without charge it just does a splash and if you hold it down it will do the bubble

this was such a beautiful video, all the genuine effort put into this is so charming. i've been thinking of a moveset for b.w.dee for quite a while now and i appreciate a lot of the choices you went with here! also, i do have an idea on how his down+b would be handled, allow me to explain: ice/blizzard: slower movement, spear attacks can freeze water/splash: slower movement and less traction, parasol attacks deal significantly large damage and knockback fire/sizzle: spear attacks leave lingering damage, parasol attacks become weaker in damage air/bluster: more knockback on spear attacks, but your horizontal and vertical air speed is slower (this is based on how bluster attacks in star allies give you more air time when used mid-air) zap: more hitstun, beam attacks are stronger, but you take more damage and hitstun

Amazing moveset! Bandana Dee would be awesome to have in Smash, but for his Final Smash it would likely need to be a cinematic so he can send his opponents to Popstar for it. Also I think his Down Special could work via a damage meter where he's able to give his spear an element again once he lands enough hits on his opponent.

Without a doubt this is your best video to date! Something tells me Bandana Waddle Dee may be one of the last fighters as we are missing a huge number of songs and spirits from the Kirby series, including Adeleine, and they could debut alongside BWD's reveal in Smash!

Cool moveset ideas! You really went all out making them unique and presenting them in an interesting way. I like that Star Allies gave us elemental imbuing, which didn't exist when I was making moveset ideas. As for balancing it, if it has to be unique, it could be a reverse comeback mechanic (since I dislike comeback mechanics). For example, if you have a large enough stock and percent lead, you get unlimited use, and can snowball your lead. Otherwise I'd just give it a long cooldown (like 30 seconds).

I adore this theoretical moveset, great job! A cool idea I got is that, if Kirby's in stage (either as a teammate or against Bandana Dee), Bandana Dee's side taunt could instead feature one of the buddies that would give him an element to his spear on his down b!

This is wonderful! Really nice moveset and I love the irl interpretations! As for nerfing the Down Special, making them have a time limit and a cooldown is an easy fix! It'd mean you'd have to think when to use it and which element to use, since you can't just spam any of them anymore!

Something i noticed is that vernias posted this video in 2021, and someone had alredy posted in 2019 a moveset idea for Bandana Waddle Dee. But Vernias and this other person had the same and different ideas for the moveset, that and the fact that vernias did it in real life the while the other person did it all with things from the games and some made by himself.

Oh wait there weren't any victory poses. Well being the Dee fanatic I am, I already have some on deck. Victory 1: Bandana Dee spins around on one foot then stops anves to the camera, still on one foot. Victory 2: Bandana Dee spins his spear around and throws it up with one nub expecting to catch it in the next, only for the spear (not the pointy part) to bonk him on the head. He would the rub his head in small pain but still looks like he's having a good time. Kind of a mix of Olimar and Toon Links victories. Victory 3: Other Waddle Dees would come together and throw Bandana Dee up over and over in celebration. Great vid all around man, I can tell you put a lot of effort into this.

For the down special. You could balance it by having Bandana Dee switch like the shulk's Mandado Arts, with each one having it's own cooldown preventing him from switching between. Say 15 seconds for fire, 20 seconds for ice, 30 seconds for both water and electric. The cooldown only starts once the effect of the move wears off effectively making the cooldown twice as long for each element.

As far as the Spear elements, it could work like Shulk's Monado Arts, each element having its own cooldown, and the cooldowns are typically longer than the other elements clock so you can't just always be souped up.

Idea: When Kirby copies Bandana Waddle Dee's ability, based on which you prefer, either Kirby wears Waddle Dee's Bandana OR Kirby wears a Waddle Dee full body costume, leaving his face out. This is a reference to Kirby Right Back at Ya anime episode, where Kirby faked as a Waddle Dee to (Insert Spoilers here).

Great moveset concept! It's always a joy to see how other people would make a Smash Bros. moveset for Bandana Waddle Dee. Also, the whole concept of having someone recreate one's moves in real time is a unique concept that needs to be done more. On another note though, I'm not really sure if those are indeed the canon names for the yellow, blue and green Kirbys. I get why people would think that Keeby is the canon name for the yellow Kirby (because Dream Course), but I have a strong feeling that Kaaby and Kusamochi were just names made up by fans. Just thought I'd give my two cents on that small bit.

I love the video idea of making the moves by your self in irl that's original, healthy and really fun to watch (I think), some of the moves are creative like the final smash or de down b and talking about that I recommend (if you read this and think about it) Fire: stronger hits and 1 or 3% of fire damage but this move will make bandana Dee throws (or anything else) weaker in that way is not to over power, Water: not slow characters like that but make them fell on the ground (like Dede Kong's banana) or if you like the idea of slow down, don't slow the animation but their mobility in ground and air but the bad thing about this is that bandana Dee jump less or have 1 or 2 minus jumps, Electricity: longer stun (like SS Samus) and that by himself is really op because make longer combos and more damage but if we make all he's spears attack with less knockback or less damage will make the job, and I think the las is Ice: is really cool the idea of freeze the enemy but I would say the only thing to change is that only freeze the enemy at certain precent like 100 or 80 and it will be weaker that Lucas neutral b, that's all for his move set but after I end the comment I want to say again: this was really fun to watch and original in the idea of make the move set of any character and hopefully I get some money to help in the patreon, you really make that money worth it, and after all of this thanks for reading and hace a nice day ;D

Little references that you might or might not have noticed and small gimmick ideas (References) His down smash could relate to the Bluster spear from Star Allies but aimed downwards, even having the mint color for the wind His neutral air references the beam ability's old upgrade that never made a return being the Revolution Beam in Return To DreamLand, due to the beam going in a circle (Gimmicks) His down special could act like Hero's energy gauge, but due to this being a Kirby related thing, it can act just like Meta Knight's abilities from Meta Knightmare, but still like Hero but different Each element will have a 30 second cool down, and each would have a price like Meta Knightmare, 10-15 or 20 points for Ice 30-40 for Water 50-60 for Fire And 70-80 or 90 for Electric And have different exceptions for them Throws and side special only charges the Water gauge Smash attacks only charges Fire All specials (except side special), side tilt, and neutral air charges Electric And jabs, air attacks, and pummels from grabs charges Ice Edit: and the final smash charges all

Maybe instead of manuely picking what spear you want at any time instead,bandana dee would raise his spear in the air and heart wave would come out of it,mimiking what he do when trying to get a friend ability. If bandana dee spear get hit with a element like fire,water,wind etc, then he would gain that element to his attacks,and for a fun idea if you hold the control stick left or right while holding it can swap to different weapon in his moveset

So not having watched it yet, but I think it'd be a neat property if bwd's umbrella would allow him to protect himself from ranged attacks, seeing the umbrella often works as a defensive shield, especialy from overhead attacks, so it could like do the parasol to the side to protect from stuff like fox lasers and the spear obviously would have a tipper mechanic with the tip of it doing far more damage.

I've been a big advocator for this lovely Waddle Dee in Smash not only because I love and think he would be a lot of fun to play with but also because I'm desperate for some cool modern Kirby stuff in Smash. Please Sakurai, I'm on my knees here. Edit: for the elemental spear dilemma, maybe give the elements some tiny drawbacks as well like you did for Ice so there's risks and reward akin to Shulk and the Manado. For example, maybe for water you could have the drawback of Splash Spear making Badana Dee a bit more slippery on the ground like slipping on water. That's just a rough idea though.

I think for the down special the cool downs would be REALLY long like for 15 seconds maybe more, or limiting the amount of times you can select the elements like only 2 elements each stock and there is a 10 second cool down
