Gurupurab best wishes 🙏. Thank you chef for including such an indigenous tuber recipe. In Odisha we called it "sankha saru" Saru or Arbi is another vegetable also included in Lord Jagannath Prasad. We should attached to our roots, eating RB's roots veggies 😀😀. During month of Kartik. In every Odia's household Habisha Dalama is a must. Arbi and raw banana is the main vegetable throughout the month long one time meal of the day for old ladies (Habishiyali).

Superb!! Thank you, Chef! Very interesting recipe and interesting root veg. Well said regarding root veggies. One more point is that root veggies keep well during winter months. For instance, sweet potatoes, eddoes and yams can be stored in the kitchen for weeks, if not months, without need for refrigeration. And they provide great sustenance for the body during winters. So the timing of this recipe is perfect.
