I felt like GSU was overblowing back then and it didn’t sound like they tuned back then. Their better balanced this year. You can tell the students are balancing to the Tubas on most of these songs.

Grambling is much improved. They sound better than they used to because for a few years I was like "oh no." They're improved, but on half of their songs the old Grambling pops back up sometime

I wouldn't have been able to give PV the second round, because that arrangement could have been better but more importantly there was a trumpet player that played during the drum break when no one else played that's a big mistake

You can’t win round with watered down version of a classic tune mane. Gram was wrong as hell for that. I should’ve gave they a deduction for skating at the end. 😭😭 Also, that God Did was not it. Needs more work and movement. IMO

Both bands were muddy in my opinion but i chose gram for the zero and the 5th. Pv bones and gram trumpets for the sectional battles. Pv has so much potential but i be let down by some of their arrangements and immature sound at times. Gram you can see where they going too but its like they’ve made a slight improvement compared to the beginning of the season and last season but still need to work on sound

I don’t see how ppl be surprised gsu been improving yearly just as OTHER BANDS have!!!! Another thing gsu doesnt have 50 trumpets like most bands they’re not going to be screaming all over the place the. New asst is writing to fit grambling style they just need to be consistent the entire season but no band is perfect every game another thing is the drums take over the breaks at times. Not the tubas !!! That’s why they get lower you gotta get to know each band style and gram has other bands to worry about before bayou they’ll come with a new book for bayou classic though as always it’s ! Gsu isn’t going to be playing rap music all night like pv did loud rap will be heard over anything! Pv had more mistakes than gsu but again it’s a opinion ! But good post bruh

Both bands had their fair share of mistakes in this battle tbh but GRAM could have easily took the battle if they executed their selections better. Did GRAM have better arrangements YES, but PV executed their arrangements better IMO.

This battle was “hit and miss” PV had better arrangements, energy and execution IMHO. Some of the songs for both bands would have been better off used during the game and not the 5th.

I actually like Grambling's version of King's Affirmation better than SUs. They didn't execute it well, but the arrangement is better
