Hi Tom The biologists bait the sites. Once the Ducks beginning hitting the bait they place the traps over the bait. The ducks come back to feed, dive down to get to the bait and when they surface they are in the trap. Obviously the researchers must have the proper permits to conduct the trapping and banding.

I think they put bait in it like corn and stuff
