5:10 coming down on the stump is not efficient. You will get better chips if you grind from the "side" of the stump. kind of like peeling down on the side layers is better vs banging away at the top of the fibers.

1:00 Revving up before engaging cutter wheel is BAD for the clutch in my opinion.

Yep. I have rented the toro version at least a dozen times and it’s literally like playing a video game. You’re spot on about getting the stump down as far as you can with a saw first. It saves a ton of time. I tend to back up when the debris starts to pile up under the machine and just rake it out of the way. It’s also helpful to set up some plywood side walls around you if your in a high traffic spot where projectiles are inevitably airborne. I have seen chips from cutters fly as far as 50’. That looks like a damn nice unit. Thanks for the upload.

Lol... rev all the way up before engaging cutter wheel? No way!!! Unless you enjoy replacing clutches and damaging other components😬 always engage at idle😊

So many badly made You tube stump grinder videos. Best practice is to start from the edge closest to you and work your way down to the lowest depth you need. Move in an inch or so and repeat until you have nothing left to grind. I have seen so many videos on You tube where they start top dead center and try to go down. Soil won't hurt the teeth but rocks and concrete will. Don't hit those. I hope this helps.

Good insight, I think in this video I grind the stump that way, starting in the front working my way back
