Hi you have done great videos this year as you probably have other years I’ve been following your channel just over a year and love it as I do the MT10 they are great bikes as the MT09 is which I’m looking at for 2025 I also ride a 2023 triumph rocket 3gt chrome edition and I’m in love with that bike but I also thinking of getting the MT09 more for just bimbling around the back roads for quick evening rides bit of fun and for the winter so triumph is just a summer bike decisions 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️anyway wish you a merry Christmas and fantastic new year take care ride safe can’t wait to see you back in 25

Merry Xmas, I think your thoughts on possible replacement bikes is very sensible, Japanese and tiumphfor reliability and backup as long as some good dealers stay afloat ,I owned a 2005 yamaha fazer600 for 18years with no problems always dealer serviced to the book ,and only changed to get a bike more suited to touring and long riding days ,so bought 2022 ninga 1000sx new.ive had to take the extra cost on the chin and was in the same thinking as you getting rid of a reliable bike, so far so good ,extra power and smooth online 4 has meant more relaxed rides but still some naughty fun. Always remember BMW means bring more wonga. Have a good break pray for some hospipe bans next year lol

@chrisgibbs1615 🤣🤣 BMW, bring more wonga! Right of course. Every time I think I should get a less crazy, more fuel efficient bike, I think how reliable it has been. How comfortable and how much fun it's been. I paid under £10K nearly 9 years ago. At 40,000 miles with no issues, that's cheap motorcycling. It allows more money for bike trips and travel, which for both Carol & I are more important. Hope you have a great Christmas and let's hope for less rain next year in the UK

@derekb2765 To be honest Derek, I've desired a Super Duke 1290 for years and the super adventure. It's just the reputation about the reliability that's stopped me. About a decade ago I had a nightmare with the reliability of a Multistrada 1200S. It's made me very cautious about buying anything other than from the main four Japanese. It's sorry to see the KTM corporation in such a mess.

​@@BanditmanukIt was a much better bike to tour on than my ZZR1400. My only gripes with it were that the cruise control buttons were on the RHS handlebar, and you needed a battery with high cranking amps to start the motor. 😬

I bought the Triumph Speed 400 and it's great fun to drive on the roads here in middle France. I have another bike with the same HP (Mash Xride 650) so I can so choose which one just to explore my region. You don't need an expensive bike to have fun, just enough.

I kept my last bike, a Honda CBF600, for 13 years and 128,000 miles and although there was nothing wrong with the bike my mind was that it needed to be changed. So I think you've got plenty of time left with your bikes. I imagine the new Honda 1000cc Hornet SP is now on the radar. See you in the spring! 👍

@mrcintheuk4641 Merry Christmas. We've always done what we wanted on KZbin. It's just for fun after all. I do think my Yam could do the same distance. I don't really push that engine and service it regularly. Yes, the Hornet is definitely on our radar (although we found the seat uncomfortable). I suspect dealers will struggle to get enough bikes from Honda UK for the demand.

It has been awesome following your content through the year guys, congratulations on the well deserved growth to your channel numbers. The Triumph Tiger Sport 800 and 660 are great looking bikes, but they still have the silly impractical bum which puts me off them as that would hamper enjoyment on a big trip if I got roosted up my back whenever it rained. @HippoDrones I think we've been following each other's channels for many years now. You, above all, were most encouraging in the early days. Carol and myself will always appreciate that. I think we only started picking up numbers when Carol joined in properly. Yep I know what you mean on rear ends of bikes, our current bikes have those issues which we fixed with very unfashionable top boxes 🤣 Hope you enjoy what's left of Christmas day. Hello both, 8:57 ford at Bradbourne Mill heading for Tissington! I know you only included that to test me, crikey hope I'm right or I'll look stupid now! Although I've not watched every video you've done I've seen quite a few so not surprised you've had a good year on You Tube because you do put out excellent quality content. I've also had my best year on here too as after seeing yours I just checked mine; 812k views over 365 days and 855 subscribers, although after putting out the one building my seat project 17 people unsubscribed! Oh well. The reason your videos of bike shows do well is because, like me, a lot do not go for whatever reason so it gives us a good insight to these events. Oh yes that BMW suited you but you did mention they are complicated, well the chap I bought my Honda from had a new BMW and said parts and servicing were much higher than Honda and said a clutch replacement had cost almost £1800, that was 2017! Have to agree about the Mr Millyard quote he is a remarkable man, the things he can do just astound me. Oh one unusual thing happened a few days ago after a family funeral in Wales I found out I'm related to someone else I've been subscribed to for years, a bloke by the name of Richy Vida, someone else who regularly rides around here as you two do. @cloudmaker Might have known you would be able to spot that ford. As for views, I find it quite difficult to predict what will do well and what won't. Last week's NY500 did 20K views yet some tour vids that take days to film and put together barely make 1K. Your 812K views is massive! Hope you've got it monetized! Well done👍👍 Blimey, you're related to richy vida! Yes, a Derbyshire guy famous for his Wildbad Weekends. I have met him a couple of times. @@Banditmanuk I think he's my second cousin as his Grandmother and mine were sisters. Nice to have another rider on Mums side as the only other I knew of was my cousin who sadly lost his life on his Kawasaki somewhere above Aberdeen when he was about 30. All the others were on Dads side but dad was never a motorcyclist but surprisingly a photo emerged after he recently died of him sitting on my new bike in 1980! One of my uncles would delight in telling me of dragging the foot pegs and gouging out a groove in the road coming down AND going up, the old collycroft hill at Ashbourne, by that 3 lane section on A515 and he'd got his missus on the back too. Another Aunty still tells me of my uncle giving it some revs on the road from Hatton to Hilton when he set off and dropped her off the back! They used to run the Salt Box café on the junction at Hatton at one time. As far as views are concerned people just usually like controversary over nice stuff, but I guess it's human nature. Worst christmas present ever 😭 😂 when you go through what you've done this year its easy to see why it's not a bad idea to take a little break, don't know how you find the time to do anything else. Carol & I have decided it's got to continue to be fun or it's not worth doing. Hopefully, we will get the right balance of enjoying trips and days out while making hopefully the odd entertaining video. You guys are a pleasure to watch, and I bought my 2016 MT10 because of you Rich 😁, I too was looking at the KTM's but the amount of stories out there of electrical gremlins put me off. But fast forward to nearly a year going on blasts on the MT it has such a smile factor and road presence!! I have the straight through pipe with a scorpion end can and tuned to a 150hp at back wheel and the way it makes power is eye watering. also with a few add ons like a larger screen and back box its like I have a tourer as well as a week end road slayer. Only gripe now is the suspension it still hard but Im getting to the realisation if I want comfort I need either electronic suspension or a GS1200 again, I had the 2007 GS1200 and that was amazing for our crap UK back roads smooth as butter.

It's a difficult bike to beat the MT10. Decatted, I imagine it sounds amazing. I've not done it to mine mainly because of my tinnitus, which can get really intrusive after prolonged loud noise. Not sure if it's true but I've heard a rumour that next year will be the final year the 1000cc crossplane engine will be sold. The R1 is no more, I expect the MT10 will follow. All in the name of emissions. For me, it's one of the worlds best inline four engines ever made.

tracer is mint but needs to be in the upper position. goes from 40 mins to sore bum to about 4 hours. Mine is at 30k miles not a single issue once.

@dreamcrusher112 The Tracer is right up there as the next bike. Yamaha reliability is legendary. The seat comfort is my biggest concern moving bikes and the test rides are never long enough to properly test. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas
