Very well articulated re the push and pull factors and how to address them. Economic empowerment and security are indeed the top key factors. For example in order to disarm the communities you have to first of all guarantee their security from within and and also from neighbouring hostile communities across the boarders. Without adequate security, it will be almost impossible to realise economic development and or empowerment via education.

At one time in laikipia was in class 3, the pokot attacked. We were locked up in classrooms by the teachers, they themselves hid in the staffroom and others fled. Pokot bandits ni 'bad news'

Fighting them back may not help much. These guys are like super trained police officers. The government should find a proper avenue of recruiting them into the Kenya Police Forces through the attractive salary payment, with that the Bandits can willingly present themselves for the jobs

The fact that the POLITICIANS,BUSINESS MAN,POLICE and fellow people are the reason why punditry will never end,we have said several times why do you send AP officers to north rift,despite the fact we have said they cant survive,alot have been killed,even if we buy big vehicles it wont help,we need vast roads build across the north rift.

Great article, although instead of agriculture I would say what can solve their problems is proper mining.... I think actually agriculture is part of the problem.. Because if you think about it they can't compete with the fertile parts of kenya in rhe Kenyan market when it comes to food but if they mine they can subsidize their agriculture and do like that woman then grow something but just to feed the locals It's like we assumed their needs... Remember Africa doesn not have a real food economy and most of our agricultural products are just made and sold from local markets and not stores... We mostly produce cash crops... People always forget this
@rockstarlifestyle99806 ай бұрын

and all local NGOs and governments pretend to "fund" crop farming in north kenya yet we all know that it will not bear any fruits, atleast not before we introduce large scale irrigation in north kenya.
@osagyefo43056 ай бұрын
That whole area is dry. Nothing will grow there properly unless they establish irrigation schemes. The only farming that can work is Livestock keeping. In fact that Area has the largest livestock market in East and Central Africa. It is Called Nginyang.

what I see here is not just a lack of resources, these police units are undertrained, and just pull out more battle-hardened KDF in Somalia.

A Great story Great video editing A Great script well put together. Good narration……… but (my two cents) trying to keep it purely English and minding your accent & pronunciation, that is greatly hampering the flow of the story (in short) kuna ka struggle kiasi. What if you just flow with the story, allow yourself to mix Kiswahili & English as the story goes along. Then the few ammm, eeehhmm, aahhh, will disappear. N.B I do not there are parts you spoke in Kiswahili. Just saying you just use mixed language from the start
