I have never been a fan of Al Shabab but the fact that our neighbors under western orders are crossing our borders and violating our sovereignty despite already having lands that belong to us is both bold and troubling.

Firstly, I express my gratitude to the African Transition mission in Somalia (ATMIS), particularly to our Neighbour from Kenya, who have been actively involved in maintaining peace and combating Al-Shabaab terrorist in Jubbaland. Their sacrifices, including the loss of many Kenyan soldiers, are acknowledged and appreciated, after that as he said this journalist it's not good to say "we're inside of the territory of enemy" yes AS terrorists they are enemy but they're not belong to the territory of🇸🇴. After that this attack was amongst two of my uncle they were among Somali national army one of them was injured but now still they're a live alhamdulillah.

Well it's not like that, actually their mistake was they lacked enough boots in thier FOBs because most of their bases had only company-sized troops ( around 200 soldiers) and to make it worse the bases were distance to each other so it was hard to support a base that is under attack

@@kip101000 in most Al Shabaab ambushes they will initially use VBIEDs to destroy entrenchment and cause havoc then they follow with a wave of infantry supported with technicals, AMISON FOBs are usually around 1km by 1km which will require the 200 soldiers to stretch out widely reducing overlapping of sectors of fire, giving the enemies the upperhand in firepower and tactical advantages

If you are in a war and you have a baracks in enemy territory in the middle of nowhere, why would you not have spotters in all directions like miles away from the baracks to watch any incoming activity. Alshabab had made several attacks on the baracks and even informed the Kenyan troops that this was a test run. Why was the Kenyan army ill prepared or caught off guard. The spotters would then notify the baracks of enemy about to make a move on the baracks and the baracks would prepare for the enemy and also call for more reinforcement like more ground troops and Air support. I thought the idea of spotters in any war is to prepare a baracks or stronghold of any incoming enemy so that the baracks can be prepared for the attack , i thought having spotters is almost a given and basic military defense/mitigation strategy . Also, how well are the baracks fortified by physical defenses like deep trenches with barbed wire, concrete cement barriers placed around the baracks and in entrances and positioned in a zig zag manner whereby a vehicle that is loaded with bombs has to make zig zag turns instead of driving straight into the baracks and detonating the bomb. i wish someone from the military can give a response to my post. Does KDF teach/train lessons learned from past occupations like when USA troops were killed in beirut or lebanon when their baracks was attacked by a bomb track that drove right into the baracks killing 200 USA soldiers.
