Never masking tape around sockets - you’ll always get an unclean line! Just unscrew them (no need to mess with the electrics behind) .. you can then paint behind and get a much better finish.

Painted my walls today and used the w method, I liked painting this way it seems to save time. Too, I like to use my paint brush to clean excess paint dripping on paint can, I would wash brush every time, but now I stick my brush in plastic bag, works great.

Don't clean oil paint from brushes with nasty turpentine. Soak them in cooking oil of some kind which binds with the paint molecules. Then apply dish washing liquid to bind with the cooking oil. Then wash the whole lot off with water. You can also clean oil paint off your hands that way.

A decent paint cost around £20-£30 for 2.5 litre and it will most likely gives you around one to one and a half coat (of course it will depend on the size of the room). You can save some money by, buying a 10 litre white emulsion (usually around £10-12) and mix 2.5 litre of your chosen colour to it. The colour generally would come out pretty close to the desire colour, albeit slightly watered down.

@bandq2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, please see timestamp 4:28 in the video to see how to cut in with a brush. Alternatively, if you feel more comfortable using tape to cover any edges that need cutting into, you will achieve the same effect, although preparation may take a bit longer doing this. I hope this helps 😊
