Even if today other groups are more famous and successful, there's no doubt that SNSD will stay the most impactful and respected one. Even if fans of younger groups feel like the recent groups are better, SNSD will stay the most praised among the recent girl groups themselves. Everyone can get more views, wins, album sales or awards than SNSD (although it'll be really hard) but nobody could make as much impact as they did. If in 20 more years, a book talking about kpop history is released, there's no doubt SNSD will be mentioned more than any other GG. They opened the gates to international popularity and even proved that girls can do just as much if not more than boys. People can bash them and call them fake if they want but that won't change the fact that they are History makers (made a pun if anyone got it) and role models for all idols.

The reason why younger groups have difficulty getting close to snsd’s level in terms of dance is that they lack accuracy. If you observe the choreography of SNSD, the steps are not extremely difficult but the girls perform them as a group, not as individuals. All arms are raised at the same height and angle. When they have to lean forward, they all lean to the same level. That’s why they will be legends whose standards will be hard to surpass

Its so nice for them to do this, SNSD must have been an idol to them. Those legends disbanning was heartbreaking for a lot of people, especially SONEs.

Sorry to interupt but SNSD didn't disband ☺They are still active! Although Tiffany Sooyoung and Seohuyn left the company they have declared many times that they still are members of the group. In september they released a new sub-unit comeback with the members that remained in SM. Several of the members also had solo comebacks and others starred in kdramas
