Great presentation Sir, this is the correct way to approach building a log sled for a large bandsaw. Many thanks!

I found this just in time. Had two much smaller than your log branches break off of a tree. Now going to try to get some piece of wood from, yep, wood. Also going to be turning the smaller branches into dowels. Found another video on how to do that. I guess I'm set. Thanks.

I carved some of it last fall and it was beautiful! Air-dried is even better than kiln-dried for hand-tool use.

what was the wrong blade? I'm curious.

Very nice, thank you--I just wonder if there isn't some way of fastening the log to the sled that doesn't involve 3 inch screws, so in the end the finished boards (at least the ones adjacent to the first cuts) don't have screw holes in them. But thank you--it's about time I did something with that cherry log in my garage!

I debated that but ultimately used the screws because it was the easiest way to get the job done.
