Dude, Kaoru is one of my favorite characters because of how over-the-top she constantly is. Seeing her act so differently in the event with Chisato was such an amusing contrast to how she usually is. I really hope she just gets more involvement in stories just because of her hilarious personality. Big gay energy indeed.

One of my favorite things in bandori is all the KaoxChisa interactions both through stories and during live shows (chisato's big sigh at kaoru gets me cracking every time). Kaoru is one of those character I could never understand properly until the whole Romeo and Juliet event happened, and after that I came to the conclusion that Kaoru was probably always incredibly shy (probably up to rimi's level at some point), which is why she picked up acting as her way to mask her own shyness from other people and just play along whatever the situation. This also has me wondering if her "baka" trait isn't just another mask for her personal act, as during the final chapter of the phantom thief event it's hinted that's kaoru's actually really good at reading people and situations, so I wonder if her believing that "michelle is real bear" is actually true, but I personally feel that she knows the truth but prefers to stay true to her character and play along with the others.

I love Kaoru??? So much??? Also i think the true genius is that Kaoru is working on instinct. Chisato says Kaoru is a natural and she is not wrong in the slightest. In most situations the quotes she speaks are on point even if she can't explain them, she is a rightful idiot, but she is anything but atupid, because of how accurate her gut and instinct are. We have a few such people in our theater school and I too was called a person with incredible instinct for funny and humerous scenes. God I love her so much gf

Kaoru being Kaoru somehow managed to rub off on me, guess it not only works for in game characters but also people irl. Kaoru just has this Charisma that inspires you to do better and be confident. With her being shy back then it does make sense, with all that confidence she has, building up to the point of a very committed actress, she manages to make the other girls ease up and build their way.
