In we video, I'm going to talk about the Ludwig 282. Nomos is loved by the watch community and understandably so. I'll talk about my own experience with the watch and some pros and cons.

Great review Phil, I managed to get one at a pre-owned price, you are right the 36mm wears larger on the wrist as the bezel is minimal, a larger version would look too big on my 7" wrist. At full price as you say it has some competition with the Tudor BB 58 but these watches are so different it maybe is not that easy choice, one is a dive watch and the Nomos clearly is not. It's a great slim minimalist watch with an in house movement that in my humble opinion is hard to beat. Once again a great unbiased review Phil, say it as you see it.

The Nomos Ludwig is good for someone who wants something: elegant, simple, automatic, a visibly decorated movement, and THIN. The DUW movement has some elements found in higher end watches like Breguet, Patek, A. Lange, and Vacheron to name a few. Beveled edges, anglage, good striping of the bridges and plates and all under 10mm. Not as good as those brands, but better than some of the others I've seen such as Baume, Panerai, Seiko, Seagull, etc It's probably the closest thing to "affordable luxury" imo. Just my 2 cents.

When you shake it and it makes that loud sound does it mean it's a cheapy bad quality movement (even though nomos are known for exactly the opposite)

Hey there, I don't believe it is a indication of bad quality. It is very accurate and beautifully decorated. I think it has to do more with the case design. Nomos used a very thin case with a display case back. Thanks for watching bud!

good looking watch, dislike the skinny looking wire lugs. The Club models have nicer looking lugs.
