I just bought EQ yesterday. and I absolutely blown away with the sound quality. I have jabra elite 75, sony, huawei, samsung, airpods. they are all like garbage after I listened EQ. I'm sorry, I have to be honest. EQ sounds crisp, detail. and the bass really really suit my taste. not big but tight. I listened UERR daily with macbook air and zen dac v2. and I like EQ also. set to warm side on eq EQ. I will test B&W PI7 on saturday. many said PI7 darker than EQ and have more bass. I like dark sound but don't like big bass.

@Dario Mladenovski I have to disagree. Unless money is never a concern I think it absolutely does mean something. I never said I expected perfection. Merely that the performance should clearly be a cut above lower priced options available to justify the asking price. I will say that I have the senheisser Momentum 2 and when I eq'd both buds, they were literally neck and neck with the liberty 3 pro having a better fit for mild exercising due to the wing, features (independent use, higher audio codec and wireless charging) and better anc/transparency. Great review. I have the EQs and love their sound so much. Can’t listen to music with any other bud. Also not with my Sennheisers. I had these before, but only as long I listened to the EQs. I absolutely love the B&O sound and sound signature on their flagship models. For everything else than music I have and love my AirPods and use them all day long. These are the only buds I grab for when I leave my house. I love them for their fit, comfort, ease of use. But if it comes to music, no way with AirPods. This is no music if you know what the B&Os can do, or even Sennheisers or other Buds. So I ended up with two buds. B&Os for music and AirPods for everything else. For music I can also recommend the Beoplay H95 Overears. They have the same great sound signature but in another level. They also differentiate the bass and make it audible. That really fascinated me and made everything lower than that a no go.

I bought the Bang and Olufsen and am returning them after 3 months. The sounds is good and I can pick out instrument details previously missed by my Galaxy bud originals. There are issues however. 1. The fit is not great and these have fallen out my ears when doing things like housework. Often I need to twist them back in my ear. I feel the sound would be even better if the fit was improved. Galaxy ear buds original are a perfect fit for me and never fell out. 2. The sound volume is quite low. 3. ANC is so so. Having not experienced ANC before I now realize it's a feature I like and want more of that. 4. I've had Bluetooth pairing issues, often with sound coming out of only one ear. 5. While the sound is good I'm not blown away. I was expecting more at this price point. 6. The touch controls don't work that well. Also there is no option to skip to next track. 7. Sounds like the left speaker has blown and this is the straw that broke the camels back and the reason I'm sending them back. Conclusion, these are only 10% better than my galaxy ear bud originals which came free with my Samsung Galaxy S10 plus I bought three years ago. I cannot justify the price given my experience. Maybe your ears are different and you will have a better fit which will improve the sound further. Too many compromises for me on earbuds costing this much.

Andy, great review on the EQ's. I've come to rely on your reviews before I purchase any audio gear. I personally didn't care for the EQ's. The sound quality was excellent but there were too many issues with connecting to other devices and the sensitivity of the earbuds whenever you touch them. Adjusting them in your ear without touching the touchpad will change the ANC level or the volume setting. I sent them back. The other disappointing factor was the tech support from B&O which was horrendous. I'd rate their expertise somewhere between imbecile and morons not to mention the fact that it can take them two weeks to respond. I gave up calling the company because the phone reps can't handle anything on their own and always elevate the issue and you never hear back from anybody...unacceptable. I still own my Beoplay E 3rd Gens but use them sparingly mostly using my PI7's or MW08's. The only B&O product I use routinely are my H95 headphones. BTW, which streaming service do you prefer? I wanna try EQ because I addicted to their H95 sound signature, but limitation to control such a basic function like forward/backward music, It's a big problem for me. I can live with my XM3 even can't control the volume because I skip the music more frequently than control the volume. But for the high pricetag, B&O should make it better than this. Although the ANC can't catch up with Bose or Sony but It shouldn't lack such a basic function.

@ronbrooks65472 жыл бұрын
@@AndysTechTone true, The Sound Quality is good but it's Consistent no matter what I do to the EQ and The only way I enjoy these earbuds is when both are in my ear. But in a environment where I need to hear the phone I find listening to these with one earbud is basic and not as enjoyable as my Sony WF-1000XM4. Even though the Sound quality is better in EQ I am Appreciating my Sony WF-1000XM4 much better. Even though it's main flaw of Sony WF-1000XM4 is low volume. So I guess I haven't found a Perfect Earbuds Yet. Hopefully the Next Generation of EQ or Sony WF-1000XM5 can correct their Flaws.

I own both PI7's as well as the B&O EQ's as well as the Liberty 3 Pro's as some are mentioning in the comments. Here's my two cents..... Bowers & Wilkens really shot themselves in the foot with the lack of ANY EQ control. That being said, sound quality wise, I believe the PI7's are a little more dynamic than the B&O EQ's. The B&O EQ's have a better sound signature, that I believe more people will naturally appreciate in general. BUT, the driver technology within the PI7's is undoubtedly more impressive. The PI7's have large dual dynamic 9.2mm drivers in each bud, where one driver acts as a driver for the highs & mids, & another driver handles the low frequencies. The B&O EQ's on the other hand have 6.88mm electro drivers. Great technology no less, but I dare anyone not to hear a 'bit' of more detail, & spatial seperation/resonation in the PI7's due to this hardware difference. As for the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro's. Hand's down best value on market. Now let's get one thing straight immediately, THESE DO NOT & WILL NOT sound as good as either the EQ's or PI7's, not even with eq adjustments. But they can definitely sound more exciting/fun because they have enough range & extension but control on all major frequencies thanks to the Soundcore app itself. These are just all around great in my opinion. Yes, some headphones can boast better individual stats, but you'd be hard press to find any other true wireless bud that checks this many boxes other than of course the Sony XM4's, which I believe the L3P's sounds better than (or can sound via EQ adjustments). All these are all great in their respective areas. But right now, the L3P's are giving unprecedented value.

Thanks for making this comparison so I don’t have to 😎 But joking aside your mini review is much appreciated as, for example I didn’t go into such technical details in my respective reviews such as driver technology of each of the buds. Great stuff 👍

@TheFerrarimangtb3 жыл бұрын
@@gavinthind3058 Definitely the PI7's. Don't get me wrong the EQ's have a good base. But it's more subdued. But the PI7's extend more. As I said before, the PI7's have dual drivers, one of those drivers literally being dedicated to lows alone. Which is why the driver size of the PI7's is larger than that of the drivers on the EQ's. So yeah, definitely the PI7's for more bass.

So, up until this point, beating out the Sony wf-1000xm4, the Bose quietcomfort, jabras, beats, galaxy buds pro, and all of the above, and after returning them all in pursuit of sonic excellence, my go-to for superior sound quality was the Nuraloop. I just couldn't find any truly wireless earbuds that had the same soundstage, imaging, and clarity that those brought. It was just a shame they were so uncomfortable on my ears, and just won't fit without being fatiguing for long listening. After trying the Beoplay EQs for 2 full days, I can confidently say, they sound better than the nuraloop. Not by miles, but it's enough of a difference to make a Tidal hifi plus subscription worthwhile again. There is just so much room sonically on the Beoplay to tweak the sound to my liking with zero distortion. I'm incredibly happy with them, and I think this is the pair I will keep for a very long time. 👏👏
