I have faced the situation not by Train but by bus. From Coimbatore to Bengaluru via Dhimbam and Mysuru. That too only in Karnataka Sarige bus. That too without jacket. That too in December month.

Little info about this train..I am using the train for the past 10 years..some years back this train went till katpadi and re routed thru kanchipuram..chengalpattu, tambaram ..egmore..beach and Chennai..back in 2017 to this train was delayed continuously for more than 2 months..from one hour to 24 hours..since they were using a same rack for Delhi bound train..from Banglore ..due to fog it happened...the time at Banglore cantt is 10.55..IF IT COMES ON TIME IT WILL REACH PERAMBUR BY 3.15.., SOME DAYS IT COMES BY 12..BUT STILL THEY REACH PERAMBUR BY 3.30..ONE DAY THE TRAIN CAME TO CANTT BY 12.30 but still the train reached by 3.57 am exactly 3 hour 27 minutes..I still remember people complained about over speed and shaking..it is the fastest train in this section..some times rules are meant to be broken..inspite of speed limits..they had reached on time..the special rpf and the regular tte are very friendly..it's is the fastest train in this section not the shatabdi..nor the double decker..the second fastest train was brindhavan speed record of 4.25 hours from Chennai to Banglore in 1970s..then I calculated the avg speed vs km..it's 360 km..and the train maintained a speed of 100 avg..bullet train um Vendam.. shatabdi ..rajadhanium Vendam..normal train a speed increase pannala podhum..the railways are fooling us with shatabdi..by limiting stops and degrading brindhavan..lalbag..Banglore and Chennai mail..just to increase the revenue for premium trains..actually we were travelling in premium trains at low cost..we need more trains like Banglore and Chennai mail...also you can try SNSI from Banglore KR puram to Chennai 3.30am train on Friday with twin Diesel loco...check the speed ..it goes above 135..it doesn't matter what time the train comes..it will reach Chennai before 9.30..or 10am

Usually trains from north and north east coming to south will have huge rush from the start to destination As many will not book tickets there but trains around south India i.e. from and to Southern railway will have comparatively less crowd in unreserved It used to be crowded during weekends before Covid but after Covid even at present people travel using booked tickets atleast people are taking tatkals and travelling
