Anirudh sharma They are not saying they know history better, they are giving their version of history just like others who give their version. Each one is entitled to their own opinion. Books do not do justice to history, because their were many prominent leaders in the Independence war who never got the lime light they deserved to. Even to this day, by and large people credit Independence to Gandhi and Nehru. Which is absolutely false. the brits left the country on their own accord as they did not want to carry a baggage(India) after the world war II. As it would hinder their rebuilding process. Moreover, Britain had by and large emptied treasure in most of its colonies including India. People who research into the politics of Britain during the 1940's and 1950's will share my opinion. Gandhi was just a face that India got, so that it can build a make believe image of a Non-Violent country. If Gandhi was Non-Violent, why should he agree to send India troops to World war, which is the highest form of Violence . And what good has come off partition? Has India,Pakistan and Bangladesh achieved any form of Developed nation status because of this partition. We might as well stood firm on United India stand by offering position of power to Jinnah instead of Nehru. In my opinion, Jinnah was a much better Indian than Nehru who is a complete sell out.

I think only few people understand history better 1) it's a fact that India did not get freedom just because of Gandhi thr were many many more freedom fighters who sacrificed there life for our freedom 2) if Gandhi was a man who thought everyone must be equal then why did he agree for a freedom on the basis of religion 3) why did not Gandhi stop hanging of many freedom fighters even when he was capable 4) was Gandhi soo weak minded that he accepted anything if put under pressure for example choice of 1st p.m Nehru over sasthri and Patel , division of Bharat on the basis of religion
