Cory, great video! I had asked whether or not you walked home in the snow in your previous video! :) That was before seeing this one. Anyway, I was wondering if Korea has a grading system for restaurants like we do in the states. What about those banchan vendors? Are they watched over by any organizations? How do you as the consumer know they are following any sanitization precautions?

***** Aah! Very cool response! Thanks!

No snow plows? What about salt trucks? I think in the states, the moment it begins to snow, both plows and salt trucks take action, sometimes even before it begins to snow.

Hi Cory, thanks for taking us on the walk home from school. Question for you: have any of the vendors or business owners commented negatively when you closely videotape their stalls or storefronts? I'd like to videotape things in the same manner when I visit Korea in April, but don't want to offend anyone. I'd like to be able to show my students the sights and sounds of what I encounter on my walks. Btw, I notice you said you were a Navy brat.....that's who I teach here in SD!

I agree with you about the generous and friendly having experienced it myself. One night, around 10pm, I asked a Korean man standing beside me at the crosswalk a question about a business across the street. He was so eager to share his neighborhood that he took me on a 90-minute tour of the sights nearby which I did not know where there. Turns out he is a high-ranking doctor in his department at the hospital and was just coming home from work! With your email in mind, I will take more time at the stalls to capture the amazing sights of Korea. Thanks!
