This is one of the most touching videos I have ever seen. As a Thai who lives aboard, I would like to thank for your kind words and compliments for Thailand. Of course, there are areas that Thailand needs to improve but you chose to see the positive things. Finally, Ivy is very blessed to be your daughter. God bless you and your daughter. Hope you continue to visit Thailand in a future.

Just re-commenting a year later having just re-watched this video. A lot of videos when you make them and watch them back in a couple of years your views change. However, that was powerful 😂😂😂and I still feel exactly the same and stand by every word after 3 visits and taking friends with us, who also agree. I liked your comment, thank you. Hope you’re doing well.

Great video's. I am going to Thailand in just over 4 weeks. I am 71 and going on my own and never been to that part of the world. This is the my first opportunity to go on a holiday in 11 years due to caring for someone. So I want to start ticking off things on my bucket list. This trip covers 2, going to asia and having a try at scuba diving. So this is my adventure and only hope I enjoy it as much as you two. Thank you for sharing Ivy and IvysDad adventure, you have made me look forward to it even more.

Hi Graham… I have a story. I mentioned it in video 3 I think. We met a man from the UK. He was about your age. He was there on his own. He spent the days in Lamai, Koh Samui. He said he goes around the hotels looking for a place he likes and the best deals. He sits at the bea h bar, watching the days and the people go by… whilst drinking a cheap cocktail. I admired him for this. He seemed to be a very happy man, living his best life. I hope you can do the same. Also… it’s hot. I just ended up buying clothes there. All UK clothes are too heavy. Pack light and buy some shirts there. Finally, we did snorkelling in our Koh Tao video. It was our first time. Koh Tao is stunning in a nature/relaxed way. And the snorkelling was beautiful. I would highly recommend. Good luck!

@@ivysdadd I'm following a similar route to you. A few days in Bangkok then Koh Tao for the diving then Koh Samui and then back to Bangkok for the last few days. That's why your video's have been so useful. Merry Christmas to you and Ivy.

I’ve watched many video of tourists coming to Thailand, to Bangkok my hometown. I always wonder what it feels like if I were a tourist in this amazing place. It always bring me joy and happiness seeing all of you guys coming from all around the world enjoying your stay, being our guest, with us proudly being you host. What I would like to say is your videos are different. It’s not just another travelling vlog. It’s the journal of your feeling, your thought, your love toward Thailand and most importantly your daughter. I was tearing up in many part of the series Thanks for making such a wonderful videos for us all. And Welcome back anytime, From the people in the Land Of Smile :)

Dear Ivy’s Dad, I don’t know what it is but what I feel about the series is probably similar to what you feel about Thailand. I binged watch your series from yesterday night till early morning today. I finished the whole series and re-watch some Bangkok episodes. The editing, the music, the narrative and probably most of all is the feeling you shared with us, it’s truly resonating. The joy and happiness of watching it, it does bring tears to my eyes. I don’t quite understand it myself. I was introduced to your channel from one of the review channel ‘Laboibin’ that picked your Thai adventure series. He titled the clip An Englishman was surprised by the prices of goods in Thailand was like 20-years-ago prices of goods in London. He talked about your experience crossing the road with the help of the traffic police in Bangkok vs. what happened in London. After that I looked up your channel and started binged watching. Maybe it’s something to do with what a dad can do for a daughter and professional editing, and the real feeling that you felt and shared that make this series interesting. Watching your series does give me a new perspective about my country and how foreigners feel when they visit Thailand. Excellent job. One of the best of series I have watched recently. Love it. Thanks for creating such a quality series. Looking forward to seeing of them soon from any other places you will be visiting or from where you live. Cheers.

Recommend that you can make it soon for Songkran Festival, it will be fun for your teen kid and it will interact with other via culture. It is Thai new year day in April and splashing water is amazing activities nationwide and when you get wet by splashing water you feel good and like you are back in teen ages as parents and kids will play together with strangers in this festival.

@@ivysdadd SONGKRAN is THAI TRADITIONAL NEW YEAR. Because it is in the summer and 14 April is the hottest day we invented the water festival for 2 days. We pour scented water to each other for spiritual cleansing. Generations passed, then it became the fun water splash to each other! All people armed with weapons full of water. Bucket, bowls, toy gun, bazooka even water tank LOL😂, you name it. It is soooooo much fun!!!

I'm Thai. All Thai people welcome tourists of all nationalities and religions, no matter who you are, where you come from, if you come to travel with quality, respect Thai people, respect Thailand. Thai people will help each other to maintain the good trust of tourists. Help each other to provide good service to tourists in a friendly manner. Smile, cheerful, peaceful, safe, clean, equal for all classes. Thailand also has many interesting places and lots of delicious food to explore. Suitable for tourists of all levels of your hopes. We can definitely welcome everyone with the best willingness for sure. But we can definitely welcome everyone with the best thi-survice. Thank you for visiting Thailand.
