I've been to many temples around Thailand and I would like to say Wat Paknam is a temple where you will really get to experience the Thai culture as a lot of the other temples are full of tourists taking photos but here is a more local area and you see a lot of local people practicing Buddhism.

As for the mussel dish, it normally comes with a red sauce. The sauce is a mix of sweet chilli sauce and sriracha sauce.

The interior of the red temple was so richly and beautifully decorated. The boat tour looks relaxing although the roofed version is better if it's the middle of the day because of the heat.

Interesting culture but kinda sad to see people actually praying to statues as if they are God or something. In the Bible they're called idols and false gods like the golden calf the Israelites made while Moses was on the Mount receiving the Ten Commandments. Me personally, I'd stay far away from that stuff. That's bad medicine.
