Bangkok’s biggest slum and why I love it so much! More than 100,000 people live Khlong Toei slums!

Khlong Toei / Khlong Toey slum and wet market is located in central Bangkok along the Chao Phraya river.
It is said that more than 100,000 people live in the Khlong Toei slums and many work in Bangkok’s largest wholesale Khlong Toei wet market. While I have heard many fears of danger, drugs, and reasons not to visit the Khlong Toei slum area; my 4 days walking the hundreds of narrow paths in this huge maze was an amazing experience of meeting the kindest most friendly people I have ever met! Join me and my friend Patrick ( who speaks Thai ) on an eye opening virtual journey into the Bangkok you will probably never see! There are plans to relocate the residents of the Khlong Toei slum area for redevelopment reasons. So documentation of life as it is becomes necessary. We did ask and received permission from people we interviewed to use their pictures in this video. I also made direct cash donations to most of the residents who contributed to this video. In addition I even donated cash to the small stores inside the slum to give food to anyone who needs it. I absolutely adored the people I met here and will forever remember my days walking through this amazing district!
