Just catching up on some of your older videos as I figure out my move to Thailand, man what an amazing experience. And massive support for showing how many youtubers portray Thailand and so many other places around the world negatively just for views, really appreciate the honest view. Thai people seem so incredibly welcoming.

What an adorable kind hearted lady. This reminds me of how accommodating the Thai people were when I visited the wife's farm in Lukkae midway between Bangkok and Kanchanaburi. They really are awesome people the Thais. Great video Adam.
Hi Adam. Hands down, this is by far the best video from you in a long time. I myself, have been over to the Khlong Toei Railway community a couple of times when I was in Bangkok last year. They are really friendly people, who just want to talk to you. I soon realised, that they don't get hardly anybody from outside visiting them. I love the railway community and I could easily fit in if I were living down there. By the way, the little food stand at the entrance to the railway line (off the main road junction), does a really good Pad Krapow. I've had it there a couple of times, really really nice, and only 50Baht.
appreciate your positive take on Thailand. I've not found people more friendly and down to earth as I have here in Thailand. I've not even seen a fight in the two years I've been here, let alone something more dangerous. It's a beautiful place that everyone should try to visit sometime.
Brings a smile to my face seeing you go here & seeing so many smiling & welcoming faces. 34 more sleeps till land in Bkk. Thanks Adam.

Hi Adam, great video! In my travels through Thailand I never once felt threatened or unsafe anywhere, even though most people said to stay away from some areas and people! Wish I could say that about some of the cities I have to work in here in America.
The least trustworthy people i met in thailand were other foreigners. Theres every kind of degenerate lurking in bars from fulltime moochers to police informants .

Love it! I don’t live too far from here - all you hear is negativity about it - well done for showing it in such a positive light. This is why we all love Thailand - the people.
It is wonderful to find someone who loves visiting popular places and getting to know local shops. Like me, I always stay away from upscale places designed for tourists and go to popular places.

The value of that land is exceptionally high, situated in the heart of the city and conveniently close to everything. It's not surprising that people are determined to hold onto it, even if it wasn't originally theirs. In Thailand, there's a legal clause that allows individuals to claim ownership of a property if they've occupied it long enough, and if the property owner neglects to take legal action to remove them or collect rent. This legal provision makes it understandable why some are eager to secure their claim to the land. The owner of that land was the Thai Port Authority, and they were so overwhelmed that some people lived there, paying rent while others didn't. Over time, the situation grew more complex and difficult to resolve. Pursuing legal action against each resident in court would have taken hundreds of years! So, their solution was to offer a deal to the slum residents. The previous government proposed a deal for those living in the canal-side slums. The government would invest in building proper homes for them, eliminating the need for makeshift structures that blocked waterways and caused city flooding. In exchange, residents had the opportunity to purchase these homes at a very low interest rate. While this approach might seem unfair to those who followed the rules, it was the best solution for the situation. Many families chose to participate in this project, resulting in thousands of completed houses that significantly improved the area. However, the situation in Klongtoey was unique. It wasn't just a densely populated village; it was also home to legitimate businesses, not drug dealers or criminal organizations but decend people live there many even be able to get their kid gradution and still refuse to move away. Simply constructing towers and relocating people wouldn't suffice. Without a central market center and it will change the way of life of peoplr to unknow Im sure many will refuse. Attracting investors would be challenging. The location was so prime, situated near a highway-subway station and alongside the river - an ideal place for building upscale condominiums and shopping centre if the slum gonna even myself would like to move to live in that location.

Why is it so popular for Thailand slander videos to go viral? Not just Thailand but honestly soo many different SE Asian countries. A bunch of clickbait, and people always eat it up because they prefer to hear the bad more than the good. I still remember watching the video that mentioned the entirety of Mindanao being the worst most dangerous place ever while I was there enjoying the absolute hell out of the place lol. Thanks for doing the good work and putting positivity into the air!

because people love to make fun of others to make themselves feel better, it's especially the case when it's something foreign and they hold no connection to which lets them be ignorant and judge it with no qualms while if it was a group they were connected to they wouldn't make fun of it.
