Bang Krachao is actually located in another province called "Samut Prakarn". This tiny island has a nickname as a Pig Stomach, as its shape is like a tummy. It is certainly the reserved area or the Lung of Bangkok. We usually take a BTS and get off at Bangna Station and then call a taxi or songtaw to the the Bangna Pier. After that, catch a ferry to the island. On your way back to BKK, you might like to try this route. It is safer and more convenient than the filthy trip via Klongtoei as you did.

Yes, we went to Bangna route. We took our motorcycles across the river as well.

Ah yeah?! We knew you could also go from Bangna, but we went to Klong Toei because it was more convenient for us off the MRT. We'll have to try the pier in Bangna sometime though to see the difference!

The one at 3 minutes in? We turned left at the first intersection (the one before getting to the park) and you can see it a little bit up there! But there are also many paths like that all over bang Krachao if you head towards the floating market ❤️

I spent the first 25 years of my life nearby here. You will see many problems. For example, if it rains, how will you cross the river? Local people want people to travel. but lacks good management. We don't know how to buy a boat ticket. Can we rent a motorbike? how to get to the park? If we are going to eat, where should we go? But I have to tell you that this is not Bangkok. It's another province, not an island. You can go by car and can go by boat at least 3 different places. Thank you for visiting my childhood home.
