In Nonthaburi province ,they have the long stem durian ( in thai language Karn Yao ก้านยาว)which is the famous and the best durian in Thailand . Its price is very expensive because it is rare .One durian price is about 5000 - 10000 Baht .

I went cycling on Koh Kret for the first time in years yesterday. During the week, there were only a few tourists. Unfortunately, Koh Kret has been flooded, and most businesses have closed. It appears to be subsiding as most walkways dry out. I'm hoping Saturday and Sunday are as busy with tourists as they used to be. Portuguese desserts have influenced many traditional Thai desserts. Only the appearance has changed from the original, but if you look closely, you'll recognize items such as "Golden Tread," aka "Foi Thong," which came from "Fios de Ovos" in Portuguese, and much more.

You did quite a good homework for travelling around Bangkok. Places where the local like to go not just a tourist trap.
@lucca_lee2 жыл бұрын
If you like such places where not really advertise for foreignet since it got enough local tourist try Khaoyai/Nakhon Nayok or Hua Hin they are all good just avoid the busiest period wherr Bangkok people like to go out which is public holiday and weekend.
@NataliesPassport2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🤗 we love going to local places that aren't as touristy! We've already been to both Hua Hin and Khao Yai (LOVED both....hopefully the videos will be done soon 🤞🤣) but thanks so much for the recommendations! Let us know if you have any more 😍

@@NataliesPassport -Khao Yai National Park is huge and it is separated into different zones, each of them got a different atmosphere such as Wang Nam Khiao and Suan Phueng are both also popular weekend destinations for Bangkok people (family oriented) but the nearest one, try Nakhon Nayok it’s part of Khao Yai National Park you must have been to Pakchong district of Korat province already cause all the facilities and fancy resorts are there. but on the other side of the National Park is the province of Nakhon Nayok. It's the more local version of Khao Yai (Pakchong) somehow very few farrang goes there but the local on budget loves it, this place got something that Khao Yai lack which is rafting there are plenty of resorts along Nakhon Nayok River. The activity apart from the rafting is a boat ride in Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam there are many waterfalls but if you have to pick one (just pick one though) go for Wang Ta Krai Waterfall you might need to rent a car for this trip most of the trip around Bangkok require car rent actually. One more thing; the reason that Bangkok people keep traveling back to Pakchong Khoa Yai isn't that the national park but mainly because of the resort they are the attraction of its own. One of the most impressive resorts in Khao Yai, in my opinion, is in Toscana Valley Khao Yai (There are 2-3 resorts in the complex). I’ve been to the real Toscana in Italy already I could say that the one in Khao Yai is a very good copy version of it, looks much cleaner than the real one. - Kanchanaburi. farrang tourists may end up just being around the River Kwai bridge and some waterfall but most Thai people did already and they won't do it twice the reason that Bangkokian love to return to Kanchana Buri is to stay the weekend on a resort epecially the variety of floating resort on Srinagarindra Dam the good one gone quick required quite early reservation like all the popular weekend destination near Bangkok. -Other districts of Prachuap Khirikhan province apart from Hua Hin. if you have a long weekend to spend, this province is good to do the road trip and stop on the way the notable places are Pran Buri beach/ Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park/Hat Wanakorn National Park, and Huai Yang beach/ Baan Krood Beach (One of the country most beautiful beachfront temple is here) and Koh Talu island, this island got beautiful coral reef can do snorkeling directly on the beachfront but you must prepare your snorkel glasses. it is worth staying overnight on the island though. -Koh Samet a very beautiful island that has already turned into Party island but is still worth a visit there are some quiet zones that look as beautiful as a island in the South of Thailand. -Pattaya ; Keep staying it Wong Amat beach it's a family-oriented part of Pattaya Centara Grand Mirage is an attraction by itself. Pattaya spotlight to the whole-world is the South Part of the city all the bars are there ; Koh Lan - a day trip island in front of Pattaya beach but much much more beautiful than Pattaya ; Samaesarn island - the cheapest snorkeling trip near Bangkok. the coral is well groomed cause it took care by the military, the island is also part of a Thai naval bases. about the coral not sure about now cause I've been there a long long time ago. The further away I would recommend Koh Kood (not during the rainy season of course) very peaceful and very beautiful cause it is not really convenient to travel to, it's one of my favorite islands in Thailand Not Phuket, Lanta, Samui or even Lipe but Koh Kood. Ps. apart from Wong Amat beach I don't recommend going to the beach during the rainy season or actually going anywhere during the rainy season but I still recommend Wong Amat cause at least when it rain you still can go to shopping malls.

@@lucca_lee OMG thanks so much!!! I just added so many places to my map of where I want to go 😍😍😍 lol! We've definitely seen that it would be MUCH easier to travel to less touristy places right outside bangkok with a car.. we usually just take a mini bus then rent a motorbike when we get to our destination. When we went to Khao Yai we took a mini bus to Pakchong, then rented a motorbike and drove to the national park where we actually slept in one of the national park campsites in a tent! But it was SO FUN!!! We saw a lot of the resorts that looked really nice, but we actually had so much fun camping! We want to camp at more national parks while we're here!! It's also more difficult to find a good time to travel here because I'm working full time in a school. So I have the same vacations as all the Thai people 🤣so we can't travel during the week and it's easier to go farther when everyone else is also going! I really want to go to Koh Kood!!! Even more now after reading what you said about it! We actually just went to Koh Chang last week since we had extra time with the days off work.......and it rained everyday!!! We still had a lot of fun, but we didn't go in the ocean at all. But a lot of the smaller close places you listed sound amazing and we could do on a normal weekend such as Samaesarn or Koh Samet! It's also great to hear about things like Wong Amat beach!! (When we went to Pattaya we ended up staying on Koh Larn because that 'touristy' part of Pattaya wasn't really our scene 🤣) anyway - thanks for all the details!!! 😍

@@NataliesPassport I see, If you only available to travel on weekend and public holiday same as most people then the accomondation price is at it peak :( could be better in the South cause it low season for both local and foreigner. Near BKK people always travel. Normally some expensive resorts could be very affordable during the weekday (and during pendamic lol) Taking bus / mini bus and then rent motor bike once arrive is also convenient ! I almost forget that it does exist! I personally dont ride the motor bike thats maybe why I didnt think of it. Please be carefull when you do. Thai people well known for dont know how to drive / drink and drive it can be dangerous even on an empty road. Koh Kood is a quiet island but still have enough facilities. What I like about this island is each resort occupy each beach so they take a good care of their own beach front ( according to Thai law ; beach cant be own but in reality the beach entrace can be private) you can just walk in maybe order some drink and sit there all day, there is no party or kind of outrageous teenager / group-tour mostly family and couple travel there. Its much much cleaner than most Thai beaches I would say. During the right season the water can be as crytal clear as the famous further away islands in South such as Surin, Lipe or Similan. Their fishing villages are among the most cleanest fishing village in Thailand. Koh Kood looks very near koh Chang but in reality in order get there it takes at least 7-8 hrs on the bus and another 1 hr on the ferry so all day just gone but that how the island can remain what it is. Actyally It much quicker just to go to South by plane in few hrs you can be on a nice resort in Phuket or Samui already. Koh Kood doesnt have a commercial airport, o the island, only airport on the small island next to it but it belong 2 a very Luxury resort (Soneva). Lately Trad province open their commercial airport it can shorten more than half the travel duration but it doesnt seem to go so well cause very less people travel there by the flight are limited or cacel but you still can check. You can do snorkeling in front of beaches in Koh Kood water is very very clear ( only in right season between march-april though). If you go with the snorkeling tour they will bring you to the same snorkeling spots that people who book the tour in Koh Chang and Koh Mak did, lots small tuna fish and the coral not bleaching (yet) just it colorful but it typically for Thai Gulf. Andaman side got more coulorful coral the best are in Lipe Surin and Similan. During rainy season Thai beaches especially those un-popular are extremely dirty, the wave blows all garbage that been floating in the sea for year back to the shore + the garbage from the river if there any flood along river which normal happen during this season, so you probably gonna lost first impression if you travel to the beach during this time of the year even you were lucky and it no rain that day but all the garbage still there. During summer/winter even the ugly beaches in industrial estate provinces like Chonburi Rayong and Chantaburi can look beautiful. Bangsean is another popular beach for the local / industrial worker go there to drink on the beach there are tons of restaurant and cheap facilities most of the time it looks very ugly I prefer not to go there but this place can look nice during the winter cause sea current change somehow dirty sea water turn in clear water. BTW. Im happy watching ur vlog and hope you enjoy ur time in Thailand.
