Hi Pete your making miss BKk so much 🥺 . Phrom Pom is a really nice area not as busy as some of the other ones near it like asok .nana etc. I spent many an evening in the Robin Hood pub, I would take my wife shopping to Europium and then I would slide away to have a few swift ones 🍻🍻🍻. The park is very nice and relaxing , the places to stay can suit all budgets for sure. Next time I will check out Sheas I have never been there 😊😊. All I wanna do now is start off there and then finish my evening in the huntsman pub !!!!!!! . Great vlog stay safe mate

Interesting video & area that Pete. It's now another on my list to check out when i'm next in Bkk. Phrom Phom area and up to Asok have been my favorite area when staying in Bangkok for a few days. I stayed at a small guesthouse in Soi 28 many times. But I am not sure if I would like it just as much if I was living there due to the huzzle and buzzle. Maybe Ari, ON Nut and such more quieter places would suit me better the day I retire.

Love watching your videos, tell me this, I've been to Thailand and most of Europe, but here's a n odd question. For such a hot weather country the sun never seems to be out, its always cloudy. I remember lying around my hotel pool or the lovely beaches but its always cloudy. Does the sun ever show itself. Great t-shirt up the dubs 👕🇮🇪
@ThairishTimes3 жыл бұрын
you're right Herbie, it was only after I went to Australia and came back to Thailand that I noticed the difference in the sky. Australia has a deep blue sky while Thailand's is more whitish. March and April is when you'll have clear skies and the sun will be out. I think it's cos we're in the tropical zone which brings loads of clouds that move in quiet fast. Up the Dubs

I've been looking to book a trip for a while now. I've talked myself into doing the 14 day quarantine, but I'm worried that once I'm out everything will be closed. I'm thinking 3 weeks outside of quarantine sometime in June. What's your read? Should I cancel the trip entirely since everything will be closed anyway or roll the dice? Not particularly worried about the money aspect. Cheers 🍻

So from what I've heard is that vaccinations start in June. But if I had to make a calculated guess is that restaurants open in July followed by bars 2 weeks later. I predict late July/ August we are back to full openings and to the new normal (whatever that is)
