Noo mi hey there i've been to bangkok couple of time, thai is one of the friendly halal country that u can easily get halal food, example mbk..u can google or find it in youtube.. One of the best and high recommended halal restaurant in mbk 5th floor yana restaurant was the best one..from the tomyum to dessert and everything taste so good with a reasonable price...it's worth ur money.. Beside yana restaurant there are foodcourt i think few of it are muslim food, from indian to indonesian food.. If u go to chatuchak the weekend market, just look for the big clock in the middle of the market just near that clock a couple of stall server halal food as well..so no worries the halal label is there😊.. Pratunam area where most tourist like to stay have lot of halal as well just google it or search at youtube...thai food is the best..tomyum, the mango sticky rice and thai milk tea very high recommended must try..

Respect is earned, and when I showed a true learning for their cultures, people were so happy to open their homes and teach me about their cultures. So much to learn from other people and when we truly drop our guard, we have so much to learn and appreciate from others. Good job, charlie mike my friend, you are showing that people can experience other cultures without being afraid to try new things.

Mark mustn't say that Thai curry is healthy, becoz it contains too much coconut milk, making you fat, heart attack, and cancer in the long run.

Haroon Mosque is one of Bangkok’s more significant mosques, with history that showcases migration within the region in the 1800s. With Buddhism being the state religion of Thailand, one often forgets that there are many healthy communities of other religions thriving in pockets all over the capital. In historic Bangrak, there exists an active Muslim community that has been around centuries. The Haroon Mosque is central to this small neighborhood opposite the French Embassy and behind the Old Customs House. The presence of this house of worship and its surrounding residents only adds more diversity to the up-and-coming Creative District. In 1837, an Indonesian-Arab trader Musa Bafadel arrived to settle down in Bangrak, which was back then a small village named Ton Samrong. He had three sons: Haroon, Uthman, and Ishaaq. Two of the sons inherited their father’s penchant for travel - Uthman headed for Malaysia while Ishaaq departed for Cambodia. Haroon firmly planted his roots in Bangkok, eventually marrying and having a son. Originally, Ton Samrong had its mosque located on the riverfront. In 1899, the Thai government saw that the land where the mosque stood was prime location for a customs house. A trading of properties concluded with the mosque being moved further inland to where the mosque stands today. The first form of the mosque was made of wood, allegedly beautifully designed in a hybrid Ayutthaya-Java style. In 1934, Haroon’s son Muhammad Yusuf decided to upgrade the mosque to its present brick and lime form today. Ton Samrong is no more but the mosque still stands. Residents and the faithful, through their lifestyle and religious practices offer insight into Islam and its culture. Every Jumu’ah (Friday congregational prayer), the neighborhood comes alive as the community gathers to pray together. One can become a wallflower and respectfully observe the activities if permitted by the worshippers or partake in the variety of Thai-Muslim foods sold by residents.

What a nice family who invited you into their lovely home. My wife is from Burma and we have been back many times to Thailand and Burma (Myanmar). Thai food is still the best! One of the reasons I would love to travel again. The food people make in other countries is made with so much love! It seems so many of us here in the US have become so blah, same same meat and potatoes week after week. Why is it we are this way..People in other countries are so family orientated, family is everything, where we seem to go off on our own, family doesn't seem to be as important anymore. We have lost our heritage, our love for one another. We are losing our honor, our pride when it comes to down home cooking from the past.

Street Food PK Obviously you did not try hard enough. Where there's a mosque, there's always a big muslim community. Where there's a big muslim community, there's always abundance of halal food.
