Are you talking about The Beatles? But Beatles already broke officially in 1970. How come his ex rock n roll group could do anything for HIS country ?
@siamahmed79363 жыл бұрын
@@nusratfattah1000 what are you talking about them breaking up? Yeah they broke up, but they still were the beatles, they will forever be known as them. George and ringo both played at the concert, john was going to play too but he cancelled it at the last minute and paul was in bad blood with all of them at that period. After the concert, every beatle recognized it and talked about it on the aftermath.
@nusratfattah10003 жыл бұрын
@@siamahmed7936 wow. Finally got someone who knows them. Yes, I know this part of the history ( what you have said). But your last line was confusing. Now, I got it.
@siamahmed79363 жыл бұрын
@@nusratfattah1000 yeah. I am kind of a beatlemaniac. I just expressed how blessed that i feel knowing that the band i love the most has a connection with Bangladesh in some way. By the help of ravi shankar, george did something for Bangladesh that nobody else did at that time as usa was to ignorant to even help us, george helped the world know about bangladesh by his following and the concert's live album won album of the year at the grammys. It literally kick started rock and roll charity gigs like live aid. I'll never get enough of the beatles and will appreciate them for things they did as a whole or individually forever.

I was lucky to be there and it was an overwhelming experience. Bless George Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Badfinger, all sadly gone now, and all the still with us greats who participated, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, the horn players , Uncle Tom Cobley and all. Shame on John Lennon for refusing to come because George only wanted him and didn't want to subject the audience to the shrieking yowlings of Yoko Ono.

Relieve the people of Bangladesh Bangladesh, Bangladesh Such a great disaster, I don't understand But it sure looks like a mess I've never known such distress Now please don't turn away I want to hear you say Relieve the people of Bangladesh Relieve Bangladesh Bangladesh, Bangladesh Now it may seem so far from where we all are It's something we can't neglect It's something I can't neglect Now won't you give some bread to get the starving fed? We've got to relieve Bangladesh Relieve the people of Bangladesh We've got to relieve Bangladesh Relieve the people of Bangladesh

Sería lindo la entrega de un premio anual que lleve el nombre de George Harrison a los hombres o instituciones que ayuden a pueblos en casos de desastres o desgracias .
