Hasina came to power half a dozen years before Modi became the PM, Modi continued the policy of the previous government (yet DW called Hasina a modi ally, I guess it's easier to paint her as a bad person, for some reason).Hasina gave Bangladesh 15 years of coup free rule, between 1975-2009 Bangladesh had 25-26 coup. Hasina lost her entire extended family to a military coup, she and her sister survived because they were outside the country. So while she was harsh on 'protesters', she had good reason to. No one is keeping a tab on how many people have been killed in Bangladesh since the coup, hundreds of jihadis have been freed and most people involved in anti India activity have been released, sentences have been suspended, cases dropped. Hasina was sent by BD army to India. Their was no legal warrant and she was not a fugitive. Extradition request will be processed, Hasina will surely be a leverage by India. Better relations will be pre requisite.

India should send Hasina there but must keep an eye that judicial proceeding on her is fair and not influenced by malacious motive by opposition if she is convicted let her face the trial but it is necessary for India (and Bangladesh also) that all the process are handled in unbiased and democrartic way after all this is what students are longing for .
