Bangladeshi/Indian/desi food made easy for all you rising home cooks!!!
Today's recipe is for a simple chicken akhni/chicken and rice dish. This recipe is simple but needs a bit of time to prepare but don't worry the cooker does most of the hard work!!!
All ingredients and quantities for this dish are listed down below.

Ingredient:
For the curry:
*2 1/2 medium onions slices
*5 chillie sliced (optional)
*4tbsp garlic ginger paste
*2tbsp oil
*2tbsp ghee
*3 cardamom (elachi)
*3 pieces bay leaf (thej pata)
*3 piece cinnamon (dhal sini)
*Salt to taste
*800gms chicken (with bones or boneless, depending on choice)
*3/4tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
*3/4tsp coriader powder (dhaniya)
*1/2tsp curry powder
*1/4tsp chilli powder (mirchi)(less or more depending on taste)
*1/4tsp garam masala powder
*1/4tsp cumin powder (jeera)
For the rice:
*600gms basmati rice, washed and drained
*2tbsp ghee
