I have tried this recipe.....it tasted really good. My daughter used to hate “Begun” after she has tried this dish...she loves it. I m a big fan of ur cooking page..

This recipe makes the humble begoon shine like a queen. I use brown sugar or ghur instead of white sugar. Makes it a bit sticky. Its an awesome dish that goes very well with both white rice and polao.

One of my aunt made this back in 2007 and i was like what is this ( i never liked eggplant before also allergic) after having it i forgot my allergy and it became my favourite dish. Although she used to burn the eggplant in open fire before cooking which is a bit different from this recipe.

I thought it will have pickle in it because it's called achari lol
