Not sure how I missed this video, but wow, I love the idea of a sweet version of banh tet since I'm not a fan of the savory version. Definitely going on my list of things to try since I've never had this version before. Thanks for sharing, Boriville!

Thank you for posting this Vid. I have questions, Can we use different kind of banana for it? and the banana turn red after cooked itself ?
@Boriville10 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can use the regular bananas they sell at most grocery stores. It does not need to be Lady Finger Bananas. Just remember to use the ones that are really ripe. The banana does turn red after cooking it. Hope this was helpful. =)

I had eaten some like this at a local Chinese grocery, I very much like it, very delish didn't think that it is just a Thai banana that was part of the ingredient and dumped them all in boiling water, how long does it take to get fully cooked in boiling water? The procedure looked very complicated wrapping in banana leaves and in tying them tightly but it is worth it especially when it is homemade, thanks for sharing!👒

Lorna Bookout You're welcome, thank you for watching. =) For a small one like this, it takes 3 hours to fully cooked. The bigger ones take much longer. Thanks again, hope you enjoyed watching this video.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but can I use sushi rice?
@Boriville10 жыл бұрын
Sushi rice would not work for this recipe. It has to be sweet rice. I'm glad to answer any questions. Thank you for asking.
