I find it odd a few police mention Rose's work as an ambo as such a contradiction. It seems they process the world in binary terms ... hero/villain or rescuer/destroyer and find tension in reconciling shades of grey or that people can be complex and pathology can be well disguised. The fact that he was an ambo and had helped in the fatality strewn carnage that was the tragic Granville train disaster with 89 dead and hundreds injured could well have desensitized him to death ... exposed and inured to the brutal reality of humans as just carcasses, bodies reduced to the gross traumatic injuries that caused the many fatalities. Who knows how he processed the disaster and how this fed his underlying sociopathy. Just because he was an ambo and worked to help rescue the victims of the crash does not preclude him from also being a compunctionless killer. In fact, the 'battlefield' injuries he was exposed to in the aftermath of the train crash probably enabled him to dispatch people without queasiness as he had dealt with death and gore professionally in his 'other' career.

Liz Steeds I think you’re entirely correct. As another example; Serial Killer Ted Bundy was known to be a very effective volunteer for a suicide hotline, was acknowledged to have chased down and detained a bag snatcher prior to police attendance, and had on another occasion rescued a drowning child. You reminded me of this in your well-worded comment.

That other murderer comes to mind. The one that answered the lifeline helpline phonecalls and talked people out of suicide. I think they said it was something to do with enjoying people's lives hanging in the balance and having POWER over the life or death situation?.. I only ask if your a murderer because your reaction is strange.. ( To me).. Like why would u kno that?.. And why write such a complex ANALOGY About it?.. Where's your mind at?.. .. I could be wrong. But you never know do you.. These days.. And the big bad internet and I'm sure murderers would watch other murderers... .. How would a person know how the mind of a killer is unless they are one or study them for some reason..

When you talk about the crime you are committing it and exposing yourself to risk all over again. These documentaries always have a similar thread, the initial lead on the perpetrator comes when; -The perp talks to someone about the crime, like in this case at the pub talking shit. But often in the cells where the cops have offered your cellmate some kind of deal. -The perps mrs tells the police once they break up -The perp threatens or stands over a fellow team member involved in the job. Loose lips sink ships. To get away with it all you have to do is shut the fuck up, do it by yourself and don't let anybody know not your wife, not your brother, not your cellmate, nobody. If its a crime involving taking cash, be smart about how and where you spend it.

I love this show! Especially the theme song! BTW fellow Americans, not every country believes in throwing people away for the rest of their lives. Most criminals will eventually be released though, even in the US. Unfortunately, the US neglects to prepare prisoners for release, so recidivism is more likely. I hope Australia is better at assisting criminals in adjusting to real life pending their release than we are.

@StreakyBaconMan5 жыл бұрын
@@shafawn9730 There are articles that claim all sorts of stuff, including exactly the opposite to those articles based on the same facts. Like it or not, since the ban crime hasn't gone up, it continued to go down, gun crime became more rare and homicides continued to drop and we've had a grand total of 0 mass shootings in the years since the ban. The best you could argue is that the gun ban had 0 effect on these statistics that were already on a downward trajectory, which would mean that weather or not you ban guns is irrelevant and not doing the ban wouldn't have been any better for the crime statistics either. In Australia the type of person who usually does a mass shooting, some type of weirdo loner with mental issues simply will not know anybody to sell them a gun, nor would they be able to afford one if they did because the cost of a gun on the black market is in the thousands to tens of thousands of dollars. I can easily see why restricting firearm sale and ownership could help prevent those types of mass shootings. I don't understand why people insist they should have the right to own all sorts of crazy firearms - why? They don't make you any safer that is for damn sure or America would be the safest country with the lowest murder rate on the planet - but what do you see instead? Countless mass shootings every single year and a murder rate per capita well above other similar western countries with more restrictive gun laws.
