That factory is awesome. It will *never* get old seeing those planes go from pieces to delivery. Fun fact: the last 747 left 1 year ago tomorrow (on 2/2/23). On my last day, when my life flashes before my eyes, that will be one of the flashes

Very interesting presentation 😉👍🏻. But, it was the ending for me that brought tears to my eyes … seeing that BOAC livery! Fond memories of flying BOAC in First Class aboard their VC-10’s and B707’s ✈️

It’s a shame it only ended up flying for a year until April 2020 (for obvious reasons) but I’m sure it was a very cool experience for all those lucky enough to have been on board. 🫡

This is an OLD series… It needs an AC (Aftet Covid) series… Financially, it’s doing brilliant BUT it’s reputation for punctuality and service is taking a beating. For now, it’s motto, TO FLY TO SERVE, is just that, a motto…. Hopefully, it will recapture the excellence it has been known for worldwide. After all, it’s old motto was, WORLD’S FAVOURITE AIRLINE 🇬🇧 ❤️👍🏼

(42:30) The 747 had its first flight in 1969 and began entering service with airlines starting from 1970. I'm wondering how BOAC could've flown it's first 747 route in 1964...

I understood the narrator to mean the route from Heathrow to JFK opened in 1964, not the 747

Sabine… that’s not Boeing Field… it’s the Everett Delivery Center. BFI is in Seattle.

Qantas was founded in the 39:18 1920's - so BA is NOT 'the oldest airline in the world' !!

The problem is that the British cannot differentiate between Service and Servility. A legacy of the snobbishness of the Brits and their spalling class system.

There is a lot of snobishness but not in Britain, you prove that.

@@barrierodliffe4155Oh.... purleese you are either a fantasist or you don't actually live in the UK! Snobbery and the class system is endemic there. It was even lampooned in 'Keeping Up Appearances' Think about how tradies are regarded there versus Oz or NZ where they are highly respected.
