We need more people like Kevin. Has so much pride in his job. So many would see that job as being beneath them, or like it doesn’t matter, but it’s exactly as he said- he’s there to save peoples lives. Without people like him in the hospitals the nurses and doctors wouldn’t be able to do the things they do.

It’s an ER not a doctors office. If you’re not dying go to the doctors and you don’t have to wait 3 hours while actually traumas are coming in. Staff can never promise something unless the doctor has seen you and your chart and the doctor is the only one authorized to order the medication. It’s truly common sense when you take a moment to think about it.

If you really were in dire need of the asthma inhaler you wouldn't be able to talk for five minutes straight.....
@Just1Nora
@Just1Nora Жыл бұрын
Exactly. And you'd go home instead of waiting for three hrs just to get a new "free" inhaler, because what asthmatic doesn't have at least one at home? I've got like three. One in my purse, one in my bedroom, and a backup, and my dad has three as well. Granted we're in the USA...maybe it's easier to get inhalers here? No idea.
@VisionaryGardener
@VisionaryGardener Жыл бұрын
Clearly, neither of you have asthma. It comes and goes, often without warning. If you don't have an inhaler and you have an attack, you can die pretty quickly if it's bad enough. If you're not having an attack, you seem totally fine. But you're supposed to carry your rescue inhaler with you at all times in case you have an attack. So if this guy has serious asthma and has lost his inhaler, or run out, it's critical that he gets a new one asap. They can be abused by addicts, though, so they're only available by prescription.
@Wendy-yg8yu
@Wendy-yg8yu Жыл бұрын
@@VisionaryGardener if this guy was having an asthma attack he would have been seen right away. He also could not have talked as much as he did if he was having an attack. People with asthma normally have more than one inhaler and carry one with them. I speak from experience. It’s an ER not a doctor’s office. The sickest get treated first.

@@PhDnursepractitionerAGACNP-BC I was in the hospital with my husband the other day and this total B, with a capital "B" was yelling at the nurses in the endoscopy waiting area. The problem was that her family member just got done with the procedure, the Dr. was dealing with an emergency with patient and hadn't time to talk to "B" yet about the family members procedure. "B" had to get home, get her daughter and yada, yada, yada. "B" kept yelling at the nurses about how she had to get home even after she told the nurses. Said nurses kept their cool, offering assistance, snacks and whatever to calm the situation. "B" kept yelling. I told the nurses that I appreciated them. I can only imagine what else medical personal go through. You all must be saints!

I’m in Canada and smoking is also banned on all hospital grounds here, but it very much depends on the hospital how long of a walk it is to get off hospital property. I smoke when I’m stressed and when I broke my wrist and went to a city centre hospital, I only had to go out the emergency room doors and cross the street to get off the property. However, I was sent to a suburban hospital to get it fixed surgically and I would have had to walk miles through parking lots if I wanted to smoke.

I feel so badly for medical personnel...they have to put up with some very rude people sometimes & that should never happen...no one should ever treat another person badly, ever...but even worse, when it's someone who is trying to help them. The other subject...when did we stop like one another...we are all humans & we all have feelings & emotions...we need to be kind to one another & try to help one another...we never need to hurt someone...think of how you would feel if someone hurt you...so sad. Imagine how our world would be, if we all cared about & helped one another...it would be so much easier for all of us & it would be beautiful, as well, with less people hurting.
