Banjo-Kazooie Remastered | SPIRAL MOUNTAIN

Project Dream is about bringing back the Nintendo 64 games Banjo-Kazooie & Banjo-Tooie back to life through a series of nostalgic cinematic trailers.
Spiral Mountain is a world featured in every game in the Banjo-Kazooie series to date, which gets its name from the large spiral-shaped mountain at its center. The level is Banjo and Kazooie's homeland, and the former homeland of their nemesis Gruntilda Winkybunion. Players start off here in all of the games, and the level generally functions as a tutorial for new players, teaching them basic controls and moves to help them through the game.

I know! This needs to be playable! Microsoft needs to get off their asses and un shelve Banjo Kazooie! Such a waste! NUTS AND BOLTS WAS THE WORST GAME. The whole god damn thing was building things. In my childhood imagination the world of Banjo Kazooie probably looked a bit like this wonderful trailer does now. My mind turned the blocky polygon graphics into sprawling lifelike worlds. Please don't take this as an insult, because I actually love what you're doing here a lot! But, I think if they were to remake Banjo that it would have to retain stylistic choices that make it feel more like banjo, right now this does feel quite fan made and the more realistic tone doesn't quite match up in my opinion. But keep working on this because I'd really love to play your version too! 😁

If they were to do a remake I would love to see a more cartoony approach like what we saw in Smash. These videos are definetly aimed at more of nostalgic trip down memory lane showcasing more of an immersive visual experience with the dynamic grass and trees and lighting etc.. Looking into producing more of a variety of visuals for future videos so keep a look out!

@@projectdreamstudio Okay, maybe I could be wrong, but the support behind these videos also tell us that your remakes sums up what was already near perfection, the colors are proper for a cinematic perspective (e.g. a very memorable Jinjo´s village IMO), the curves on the ground. I think you also respect the original size at a prudent extent

I'm pretty sure it's because he's using pre-made assets, as opposed to assets personally made from the ground up to match the B-K universe. Though I do agree with you, the graphics really should be a little more stylized and *much* more colorful. I've been able to make more colorful levels in the Far Cry series without even trying hard, I don't really know why there's such a lack of color when you can still make rather colorful environments even with pre-made assets.🤷‍♂️

What we saw back in 2006 when we got that teaser for the 360: What we got: Nuts and Bolts IMO I loved Nuts and Bolts personally but I understand why so many hated it.
