I think they fixed the issue with the Canary Mary race in the 360 version and the Rare Collection too. Now you can beat her without a turbo controller.

I’m watching the Lego Movie and as soon as I heard the wizard (played by Morgan Freeman) say “Cloud Cuckooland” I paused and remembered this level. I now know what the reference means. Good stuff! I’m 28 years old and I never understood the meaning. I just thought it was a cool name for a level that was so bizarre but interesting.

The 3rd race you have to keep tapping the shit out of X unfortunately. BUT, in the fourth, theres this rubberband effect. If you slightly stay ahead of canary mary with a steady tap, she wont even pass and you dont have to spam the ever living hell out of X​@@svenmandelkorn3238

Actually, they're both references to the phrase "Cloud Cuckoo Land" which is a made-up world where everything is unrealistically perfect. It's used mainly as an insult towards naive people who usually think the impossible could happen, whom are called "cloud cuckoo landers".

@@Wahaller Yeah after all this time I figured as much. Still, I found it really interesting it’s just so good and alluring I wonder if they knew. Anyway, these days I daydream every day, so you could say I’m in Cloud Cuckooland every day. Unlike Batman I love Cloud Cuckoo Land in The Lego Movie and Banjo Tooie because I feel you can make it however you want. In my mind this isn’t really true but I would like to think Cloud Cuckoo Land is a creative source where everything else comes from, real or not real, in terms of creation. LOG and Markus Jolly may say otherwise since they made it but I’m talking about elsewhere especially in terms of real life or something or imagination.

I could never beat this level as a kid. Mainly because, the Eyeballus Jiggum Plants terrified me as a kid. Fuck those plants!

A good trick for canary Mary is to hit the X or A button (depending if you’re on an n64 or Xbox) somewhat slowly during the start (like around 1 or 2 presses per second) then when she’s a somewhat good distance away you start spamming until you get somewhat close. For the rest of the race you’re gonna be rotating between slowing down then catching back up with Mary. Then right at the end, primarily when you get close to rumba’s tent depending on the first or second race, you spam as fast as you can then overtake Mary. The main point of this strategy is NOT to pass canary Mary or even be side by side with her until the very end. If you pass her even a bit even towards the end she will gain a ton of speed and easily overtake you. Alternatively you could buy a spam controller that allows you to hold down a button for spamming but that costs real money.

I can’t remember if this actually happened or if I dreamt it but whenever Banjo falls into the land below cloud cuckoo land, is it’s the same as dying or does he falls back into the main area. Then again there was a time where I thought if you scaled the mountain you could reach this area but Game FAQ disproved that. I still wish I knew where that idea came from though...

I was never too sure. Some commenters said that Mingy Jongo shows up in whichever Mumbo House you enter first. It makes more sense that way too, because the element of surprise would be lost if players found the correct Mumbo House

I think the one you're talking about was at 28:03. This move is called Leg Spring. To find it, head to Floor 2 of Grunty's Industries. Split up, find a pair of Claw Clamber Boots and use them on the wallprints in the large toxic room. Follow the path, and there you go. Be sure you have 545 notes beforehand!
