Thanks to the early response, nowadays non-business people like us in Sri Lanka don't keep millions of rupees in savings accounts and practically, we put them in FDs to grab a few bucks extra. If I have a heavy FD that proves my wealth and that means financially, I’m strong enough to look after myself. I agree with you if I’m a businessman. A visa officer might view monthly statements of my current account which are already submitted along with the visa application. Other than that, no point viewing a savings account because I have already bound for the agreed time frame and I hope FD is much better than savings to show money for the visa requirements.

You can try brother. Usually they asking for savings. Also you can show them your properties. Lands, Vehicles and etc. End of the day you have to prove that you do not want to stay in Australia.
