Mrs actually got me the piscifun backpack off amazon. 4 trays of tackle in have other gear, rolls of line, drink bottles, munchies and bait in it. Use the external straps for my pvs rod holders. So only have to hand carry poles and my bank chair.

I use a Maxpedition pack. Is has two large pockets for the main pack and two smaller pockets on the front with a strap that goes over all the pockets. I had the best zippers (YKK) and Its has molle? Straps all over the back and sides of it. I use an ammo carrier on each side to put the ends of rods inside on them. This way I can ride my bike around with rods in the pack (two pieces) and not have to use my hands. I ride my bicycle when I fish. When I go catfishing I have a larger backpack and walk but I could still put my rods in pockets on the side. The second backpack is almost thirty years old. I bought a larger backpack that wasn't Maxpedition off the internet and the zippers started going bad the first summer I had it so I now just stuck with Maxpedition. Sometimes they have a buy one get one free sale so last year I got two. The only change I make to them is to put longer strong on the zippers and melt them together so the ends don't come off.

Again I always say, I will sacrifice comfort for YKK zippers that are smooth and self repairing. 511 and Camelbak have been the best as far as zero zipper failure. I want to be able to rip open the pack and have the zippers follow with no issue, thats the sign of a good pack. I stay away from all the Amazon knockoffs and although some are built well, the zippers are crap and I am in and out of my bags so much they won't last half a season. You should never have to modify or fix zippers on a bag if they are true YKK zippers.

I like that backpack. It looks good, My wife called me a backpack junkie. I started with just a regular old pack and now I use mainly a Ozark trail. I like it. Best of all of them I have used

@@williambenner701 ya I have 2, have been using one for a couple years for catfish, I did replace the plastic tackle holders with different ones, it has a hard plastic compartment on top you could use for cold drinks or keeping fresh bait in.

5.11 tactical makes a really great bag. I have the rush I think it is I forget how big. It's got molle webbing all over it, a space for a water blader. Nice shoulder straps with a chest strap.

I tried to bank fish LK norman .. found it hard going … one of the things that disappointed me the most was the trash left behind by other fishermen … great backpack to take all the gear . The hardest thing is leaving stuff at home that you don’t really need . On a boat you just put it in a locker …

I know exactly what you mean about the garbage, it infuriates me all the garbage I find on the shore and floating in the water. I always carry garbage bags with me on the boat, bank fishing and just walking my dog. It amazes me how disgusting people can be and how much trash I come back with on EVERY SINGLE trip. The part I find the saddest is how much I pickup at boat ramps.😢

So I was in the market for a fishing backpack a while ago, but most were too expensive. I ended up getting one that actually looks like a golf club bag, and has a place to put your rods. It only has two compartments though, a zipped section and another deep pouch one. The zipper broke on my very first day of using it. I got it from Amazon, but it is not a brand name. It is more convenient than carrying a regular tackle box but I still don't like it that much. I need to check out the one you show. Thanks so much!

I've been through many different packs for fishing. To me the YKK zippers are the most important out of all the packs.
